  • 🌟 Exciting Announcement 🌟 I founded Inclucive to drive meaningful change. Our mission? To cultivate inclusive cultures within organisations, fostering environments where individuals from marginalised backgrounds can thrive authentically. Many of you already know me and understand my unwavering pride in my heritage. As a British-born individual of Nigerian and Trinidadian descent, I am a proud black woman leveraging my platform to ignite change. Every day, I'm committed to expanding the circle of allies and accomplices because their voices are crucial in effecting positive transformations. I recognise the challenges that individuals like myself encounter in navigating the corporate landscape. Hence, I collaborate closely with organisations, championing Awareness, Education, and Action. While I typically refrain from talking about the positive feedback I receive, I've decided it's time to change that. So, here I am, sharing the impact Inclucive is making. If your organisation is seeking passionate consultancy services centred on Allyship and Anti-Racism, consider partnering with a black-owned consultancy like mine. By doing so, you're not just embracing change – you're initiating it. Let's embark on this journey together towards a more inclusive future. • Day 31 Continue the Conversation! ✊🏾 The Journey Continues Beyond Black History Month Black History Month may be ending, but our commitment to equity and justice doesn't. This month has been a journey of reflection, education, and inspiration. We've celebrated the triumphs and acknowledged the struggles of Black people throughout history and in the present. But the fight for true equality is far from over. Systemic racism and discrimination persist, and it's up to each of us to actively challenge and dismantle these barriers. What will you do to continue the work? Educate yourself: Read books, watch documentaries, and listen to podcasts by Black creators and thought leaders. Support Black-owned businesses: Make a conscious effort to patronize Black-owned businesses in your community. Amplify Black voices: Share the work of Black artists, writers, and activists on social media and in your conversations. Challenge racism: Speak up when you witness discrimination or prejudice. Advocate for change: Support policies and initiatives that promote racial justice. How will you show up for the Black Colleagues and community? Be an ally: Listen to Black voices and perspectives with empathy and understanding. Be a mentor: Offer your time and resources to support young Black people in their education and careers. Be an advocate: Use your privilege to speak out against injustice and inequality. What further help do you need from me? I'm here to provide resources, support, and guidance as we continue this journey together. Let me know what information or assistance you need to be a more effective ally. Remember, we need you! Every voice, every action, every commitment makes a difference. Let's continue to build a more just and equitable world for all. #AllyshipContinues #BlackHistoryMonth LIKE | COMMENT| SHARE

  • Day 30: Highlight Historical Erasure Black History Month may be drawing to a close, but the journey towards understanding and acknowledging the full breadth of Black history is ongoing. Today, we shine a light on the pervasive issue of historical erasure. For centuries, Black history has been systematically suppressed, distorted, and overlooked. Our contributions have been minimised or attributed to others. This erasure not only robs us of our rightful place in history, but also perpetuates harmful stereotypes and reinforces systemic inequalities. Why Reclaim Our Narrative? Reclaiming our narrative is an act of empowerment. It's about: Truth and Justice: Challenging the dominant narrative and demanding accurate representation of Black experiences. Self-Determination: Taking control of how our stories are told and ensuring future generations inherit a complete and authentic understanding of their heritage. Healing and Reconciliation: Acknowledging past wrongs and working towards a more inclusive and equitable future. The Eurocentric Lens Often, even when Black history is acknowledged, it's presented through a Eurocentric lens, focusing on narratives of slavery and oppression while neglecting the rich tapestry of Black achievement and resilience. We need to move beyond this limited perspective and embrace a more holistic and nuanced understanding of Black history. What Can We Do? Educate Ourselves: Seek out diverse sources of information, support Black historians and scholars, and challenge our own biases. Demand Curriculum Change: Advocate for the inclusion of Black history in school curricula, ensuring it's taught throughout the year, not just during Black History Month. Black History is British History! Amplify Black Voices: Support Black businesses, consultants, creators, artists, storytellers etc. Share their work and amplify their voices. Let's continue to challenge historical erasure and work towards a future where Black history is fully recognised, valued, and celebrated everyday. #ReclaimOurNarrative #BlackHistoryMonth

  • Day 29 of Black History Month: Let's Talk Mental Health 🧠 This Black History Month, let's shed light on the crucial issue of mental health within Black communities. 🌍 Racial trauma, systemic inequalities, and the daily burden of discrimination take a significant toll. Let's work together to ensure that everyone in the Black community has the support they need to thrive. 🤝🏿 Here are a few organisations to support: - 🌱 Black Minds Matter UK - 🌈 Mind: Runs specific projects for the Black community and partners with local organisations to ensure culturally sensitive mental health support. - 🌍 The Ubele Initiative - 🌸 Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy Centre - 🧒🏿 Young Minds - 🖤 BLAM (Black Learning Achievement and Mental Health)** - 💼 Sharing Voices - 🤝🏾 The Black, African and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN) #MentalHealthMatters #BlackHistoryMonth

Listen and Learn: Create safe spaces for Black employees to share their experiences and suggestions for improvement. 3. Set Measurable Goals: Establish clear targets for increasing Black representation at all levels, from entry-level to leadership. 4.
