With a 90-year legacy, the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association (ISBA) continues to serve and support the independent school sector. Our journey began in 1932 as the Public Schools Bursars' Association, evolving in 1983 to our current name. Today, ISBA proudly represents over 1,100 members, including 60 international associates, from a diverse range of schools; from preparatory to prestigious senior schools, both day and boarding. Our expertise extends beyond bursars to the entire senior management team and operational staff body, offering compliance guidance on finance, risk management, HR, sustainability, and more. As part of the Independent Schools Council (ISC), we actively contribute to shaping the future of independent education.
