This industry has a reputation for being quite cutthroat and heartless, but my experience thus far has taught me there is so much good out there. I say this because I just want to take a moment to thank everyone for their kindness, feedback, advice + honesty, this past week especially, for the launch of Mancunium North . I have such fire in my belly to succeed with this company, and I'm eager to learn from anyone and everyone. I was giving a guest talk with INFINITY27 last Friday on kickstarting an indie game studio as a graduate/student! ✨ Thank you so much to Dan Baird for offering me the opportunity and inviting me to do the talk, it has been my pleasure to share my experience, and talk to people who are interested in starting their own studio too! 💖 Though I went a bit quick in the middle, it has been overall a great experience, and I'm sure I could improve and get better next time!! 💪

This week on campus, we were thrilled to host the Into Games UEFN Summer Holiday Club in partnership with INFINITY27. This incredible free initiative provided young participants, aged 14-17, with the unique opportunity to dive into game development, building their own game from scratch using the Unreal Fortnite Editor. Staffordshire University London is offering a free summer Game Development camp in partnership with Into Games and INFINITY27, designed for young people aged 13-17. Participants will have the opportunity to build a game from scratch using the Unreal Fortnite Editor, guided by professionals from the games industry who will also provide career advice and guidance. It is now the halfway point in my journey through INFINITY27's games development bootcamp, and can I just say this has been absolutely awesome so far! My goal here was to gain the final puzzle piece in my necessary skills before entering the workforce - some actual experience in a professional development studio. It's given me the opportunity to work along some very talented industry professionals, and I've made many connections across the development team. The team has been a joy to work with so far, we've definitely had some really funny moments during development! I've gained so much industry experience in my time here so far - and it's only been two weeks! I can now comfortably use tools like Hansoft, UML, and Miro, and the daily stand-ups on Discord don't feel quite so nerve wracking anymore 😂 I've been given the exciting opportunity to develop a spell that will be used in the RPG souls-like SAMSARA (go wishlist it on Steam 😁 https://lnkd.in/exxb2ZqF) For this, I designed, planned a sprint for, and started development on a burrowing spell for the Tiryag avatar; a spell that will allow the player to burrow underground temporarily, confusing and becoming invisible to enemies. Hello everyone, It has been a while since I joined INFINITY27 UE5 Bootcamp and I have to say it has been an amazing adventure so far! :) Now I would like to share a bit about my spell prototype. I started with the system design with flowcharts and UML. Then I implemented the system and logic with Blueprint and tested the functions. After that I created VFX assets in Niagara for polishing. Here below is a preview video for the spell. I want to give a huge shout to the crews at INFINITY27, who have been supportive and professional all the way along. Especially I would like to thank Nathan F., Stefan Yeung and Dan Baird for their efforts. Also all the fellow classmates are super nice and open which creates a great atmosphere for sharing and growing. What a lucky ride with all of you guys!
