Check out our latest piece as part of our Digital Health Revolution For Chronic Inflammation Series, with the great Muji Bekomson.
Business Consultant | Strategy, Social Innovation & Project Management | Founder @InflamMed | Tackling Health Inequalities @St Christopher's Hospice
🌍 Can digital health bridge the gap in chronic care for low-resource settings? For many living with chronic inflammation, consistent healthcare isn’t a given—especially in regions where specialists are scarce and healthcare systems are overstretched. Muji Bekomson, founder of iLIVE Digital Health, saw this first-hand. Her solution? A digital health companion designed to provide daily, proactive, and personalised care, helping people track symptoms, identify triggers, and take control of their health—without relying on constant in-person medical support. In our latest interview, Muji shares how iLIVE’s Chronic Health Manager and Femme by iLIVE are making holistic, accessible care a reality, especially for those left behind by traditional healthcare systems. 🗨️ Can digital health truly replace human care? Muji believes the key isn’t replacement—it’s balance. Technology can expand access, empower self-management, and ease pressure on healthcare systems, but the human touch remains essential. 📖 Read the full conversation: https://lnkd.in/enBPhyZE Follow us on InflamMed Join our community: www.inflammed.org #DigitalHealth #HealthTech #ChronicInflammation #ChronicPain #ChronicIllness #HealthcareInnovation #HolisticHealth #Autoimmune #Inflammation #HealthEquity #InflamMed

🧠✨ Chronic inflammation doesn’t just affect the body—it has a profound impact on mental health, too. I just listened to a re-release of How To Heal Chronic Pain with Dr. Howard Schubiner on the Feel Better, Live More podcast with Dr. Chatterjee, and it made me reflect on something Gabor Maté often discusses: There is overwhelming evidence linking inflammation to conditions like depression and anxiety—yet these insights aren’t widely integrated into healthcare or communicated to patients in meaningful ways. Key takeaway: Managing inflammation isn’t just about diet or exercise—it’s also about addressing emotional stress and trauma. 🛠️ Practical steps to support both body and mind: 1️⃣ Incorporate mindfulness or meditation into your daily routine. 2️⃣ Prioritise quality sleep (whatever that means for your body). 3️⃣ Seek support—whether from professionals or peer communities—to address underlying stressors. 💬 What small changes have helped your mental and physical health? Let’s share and learn from each other. For more, follow us on InflamMed #MindBodyHealth #Inflammation #MentalHealth #ChronicIllness #HolisticHealth #Autoimmune #HealthEquity #InflamMed

🎙️ Health misinformation: The growing problem in wellness podcasts. In our latest newsletter, we explore the disturbing trend of health misinformation in popular podcasts like The Diary of a CEO. A recent BBC investigation revealed how unchallenged, controversial claims about cancer, diets, and vaccines are fuelling confusion. This isn't just about misinformation—it's about trust. Podcasts are increasingly a go-to source for health advice, with wellness now one of the top podcast categories globally. But when financial interests mix with health narratives, it’s the audience who suffers. 💡 How can we hold media accountable while still embracing the wellness movement? 👉 Read more and subscribe to InflamMed for the full story: www.Inflammed.org #Inflammation #ChronicInflammation #HealthInnovation #Wellness #Autoimmune #ChronicPain #HealthCommunity #InflamMed #HealthTech #HealthMisinformation #DigitalHealth #HealthEquity #Neurodivergence #AIInHealthcare

At InflamMed, we’re on a mission to support those navigating the challenges of chronic inflammation. 💪 For those unfamiliar, chronic inflammation is a prolonged inflammatory response that can harm the body’s tissues and organs, often leading to chronic pain, autoimmune diseases, gut issues, and fatigue. Unlike acute inflammation—our body’s natural and necessary process for healing injuries or fighting infections. 🎥 On the latest BBC Today Show, chronic pain expert Professor Irene Tracey guest edits and is joined by Stephen Fry, who shared his personal experience with chronic pain and how he negotiated with his body - it's a must-listen! We know the holiday season can be especially tricky—with tempting, inflammation-triggering foods and festive drinks everywhere. Personally, I’ve indulged in more alcohol than usual, so I know I need to be extra mindful this month. That’s why we’re here to help. From actionable tips to shared stories, our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and community support to manage inflammation effectively. 📚 Explore our resources: Join our Community and check out our latest articles and podcasts at 👉 www.inflammed.org You’re not alone in this journey. #ChronicInflammation #ChronicPain #InflamMed #HealthJourney #AntiInflammatory #ChronicPainSupport #AutoimmuneAwareness
