This summer saw Inflexion again welcome interns to its offices to learn a bit about how private equity works, and allowed Inflexion to meet some great new people. We are proud to partner with both the #10000BlackInterns programme, creating paid internships for Black students and graduates, and the #10000AbleInterns programme, creating paid internships for disabled students and graduates of all ethnicities. The annual Inflexion internship programme, now in its fourth year, offers genuine hands-on engagement and work experience alongside deal teams. Interns work with numerous people on the Inflexion team across multiple areas to get involved with research, assessing potential investment opportunities, and even sitting in on board meetings and calls with the portfolio. Yesterday we brought together M&A leaders from across our portfolio to discuss current opportunities and best practices as they pursue ambitious M&A programmes. Hosted by Inflexion's Head of Portfolio Tim Smallbone, we were also joined by John Breheny, Group Corporate Development Director at BES Group, and Simon Percival, Group Head of Corporate Development at Ocorian, to share their businesses' M&A journeys and the keys to finding and integrating new targets. Great to see a piece on the private equity sector in Ireland featuring Malcolm Coffin and David Collins in The Currency today. It is a pleasure to announce two senior leadership promotions at Inflexion today. Florencia Kassai has been appointed as a Managing Partner alongside the Co-Founders John Hartz and Simon Turner, and George Collier has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer.  Flor runs Inflexion’s Buyout Fund and sits on Inflexion’s Investment, Executive and Responsible Investing Committees. She joined Inflexion in 2011, later becoming Head of Services, and worked on a number of notable investments including Alcumus, Auxadi, BES, Estera, LCP, Ocorian and Sanne. As well as helping secure a number of opportunities for the Buyout and Partnership Funds, Flor has been instrumental in leading Inflexion’s European expansion. George has been with Inflexion for close to a decade, initially as part of the investment team before moving to Head of Strategy where he has focused on overall firm strategy and capital formation as well as having oversight of all non-investment functions. Yesterday we were delighted to welcome 100 attendees to our annual Diversity Exchange event for the rising female leaders from our portfolio companies, hosted by Inflexion's Head of Buyout Fund Florencia Kassai and Talent Director Freddy West. During the afternoon the group enjoyed a session led by Catriona Campbell MBE on how to embrace AI, followed by a presentation from Gaia Caruso from Sparta Global on how they use AI to promote gender equality. Sam Conniff led a workshop on how to 'be more pirate' and get comfortable with the uncomfortable and Fiona Hope, CEO of pet supplement business Lintbells | Home of YuMOVE, joined Flor on stage for a fireside chat to talk about the journey she has been on. Formed in 2021, Inflexion carved out CNX from the European operations of US-based Sunovion Pharmaceuticals.
