Today is World Mental Health Day, and this year's theme is all about workplace mental health - a topic particularly close to our hearts! 💚 At Matrix, our mission of connecting people to work goes far beyond our innovative workplace technology and solutions — it’s also about improving the lives of the communities we reach through our services, and supporting the people behind it — our colleagues — ensuring they have what they need to thrive, both in and out of work. Our incredible Social Value team works hard to drive better workplace practices that support mental health, as well as addressing the wider issues of social mobility to support minority groups in the workplace, which we know can directly impact mental well-being. From attending our Supplier Forum's and sharing how suppliers can better support the mental health of their temporary employees, to partnering with charities like Leaders in Community, working with local young people to build employability and confidence — a key factor in mental health for young people. And inside Team Matrix? Well, we’re always striving to do better and asking our people what they need to feel supported. 🌟 West London District Jobs Fair 🌟 On Wednesday, Macey Payne from the #SocialValue team and Tega Ayetan from Matrix Talent Pool represented Matrix at the DWP’s West London Job Fair at Wandsworth Job Centre. Alongside other employers like the NHS, they engaged with jobseekers to promote Talent Pool and highlight the support available through Matrix’s Social Value team. 💼 The team spoke to 18 jobseekers, discussing how Talent Pool could assist in their job search and offering additional help with CV reviews and interview tips. The jobseekers they met were from diverse backgrounds, some seeking admin or care roles, while others were returning to work after a career break. The event showed how Talent Pool could be a valuable tool for a wide range of jobseekers. 🌟 The Social Value team will continue to support those who reach out following the event, providing employability assistance to help them on their career path.
