Bringing together world-class expertise in genetics and cancer at the University of Edinburgh.
About us
The Institute of Genetics and Cancer is a strategic partnership of the MRC Human Genetics Unit, Edinburgh Cancer Research, and the Centre for Genomic and Experimental Medicine. We're tackling one of the greatest biomedical challenges of today – explaining how changes in our DNA lead to disease. Our multidisciplinary teams of world-class scientists and leading clinicians work together under one roof with access to cutting-edge facilities. We work across scale, from molecules to populations, to pave the way to more targeted treatments and therapies for people living with genetic conditions and cancers, involving patients and the public every step of the way.
