Insured losses from Hurricanes Helene and Milton could total up to $55 billion, according to Moody’s RMS Event Response estimates. Moody’s projects that private market losses from both hurricanes will likely fall between $35 billion and $55 billion, with Helene’s losses estimated at $8 billion to $14 billion. Arch Capital Group has announced the appointment of Nicolas Papadopoulo as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately. He will also join the board of directors.
