If a book is recommended by a coach, you know it's well worth the read right? Chris Capstick (Assoc CIPD) recommends these practical coaching books: 'Coaching for Performance by John Whitmore - it was the first coaching book I picked up and one that I go back to time and time again, whether that’s to support my own practice or to help me consider new approaches for developing our leadership team’s coaching capability and our coaching culture across the firm.' '101 Coaching Strategies and Techniques, edited by Gladeana McMahon and Anne Archer. I love this one for its practicality, and its one that I pick up regularly either to learn new techniques or to help me to consider new approaches with my coachees. Whatever your coachee is facing, there are different techniques to help them to get to a better place…some great techniques for self-coaching too!' Are these anywhere on your bookshelf? What did you think? Let us know your most recent reads below!
