Celebrating a Fantastic Presentation at the IRM Conference! 🎉 Sofia Alcala Paterna and James Pope presented a powerful use case at the DG/MDM IRM Conference, demonstrating how AI agents helped uncover root causes of customer complaints for an Internet Service Provider. Inspired by The Matrix, they took the audience from "Never send a human to do a machine's job" to "Bullet-Point," showcasing how AI can provide clear insights for effective action. Their session highlighted the symbiotic relationship between humans and machines—machines excel in some tasks, but keeping humans in the loop ensures the best results. The future lies in evolving from assistive agents to fully autonomous systems, benefiting from both human and machine strengths. Here are a few more key takeaways from the day 👇 🟣 Data Quality as a Business Narrative – Data quality is an ongoing, evolving business process that requires engagement from all stakeholders. Newton’s Laws of Motion highlighted the need for businesses to take ownership and responsibility for their data quality journey. 🟣 Pattern Recognition in Data Quality – Machine learning and pattern recognition are game-changers when it comes to improving data quality. From anomaly detection to predictive data quality, these techniques help automate data cleaning, spot errors early, and predict future issues, ensuring better data integrity and smoother operations. 🟣AI and Augmented Intelligence – AI isn’t here to replace humans; it’s here to enhance them. By keeping humans in the loop, AI can help businesses make faster, more informed decisions, improve operational efficiency, and deliver superior customer experiences. A big thank you to everyone who joined us, and we’re excited to continue exploring how AI and humans can collaborate to drive data transformation and enhance customer experiences. (A few mentions! Great to be next to our friends Ab Initio Software, and catch up with Informatica. Lovely to finally meet face to face with Malcolm Hawker. Also good to see the legends Mike Ferguson, Mike Hudgell and Daragh O Brien)

We're Back from the IRM Conference, What an insightful couple of days! Here's our key takeaways 👇 🟣 The importance of ‘shifting left’ in data management. The keynote highlighted how building strong data foundations early is critical, especially with AI’s growing influence. 🟣 We’re also excited to further explore Graph Technology for Enterprise Master Data Management, a topic that really caught our attention. 🟣 The Plenary keynote, "Dancing with Data: Mapping the DNA of Music," was a standout, combining live music with data mapping in a truly creative way. 🟣 And, of course, the St. Patrick's Day-themed drinks and networking yesterday were a fun highlight! Overall, we had a fantastic time and are looking forward to leveraging these new insights with our clients. Come back tomorrow for our day 2 round up! Victoria Instone Manish Ranpura Anuja Goyal

A little friendly competition never hurt anyone! Last night’s Liverpool Data Lab was one for the books, this time we put two teams head-to-head in a high-stakes challenge (well, as high stakes as a Data Lab Trophy gets!). The mission? Plan a data transformation project within a set budget in just 40 minutes and pitch it to our ‘board’ featuring Sofia Alcala Paterna as the tech-savvy CEO and Andy Leach as the ever-cautious CFO. They didn’t hold back, grilling the teams on strategy, delivery, and impact. Both teams brought their A-game, but the winning crew took it a step further, turning their pitch into a full-scale business transformation with new revenue streams to boot! Big congratulations to Mathew McKie, Steve Woodward, Barbora Spacilova, Danny McCarthy, and Kevin Bell for their sharp thinking and even sharper responses. A huge shoutout to team two—Philip Parry, James Middleton, Steven Keyes, Rab Singhania, Steven Grant, and Adrian Roe who made it an incredibly close call. (We’re thinking honorary sashes next time?) Massive thanks to everyone for bringing the energy, ideas, and plenty of laughs. And for anyone looking to crack the C-suite budget code for their next data project, last night was packed with takeaways! Huge thanks to Joseph Evason - it wouldn't happen without you. Want in on the next Liverpool Data Lab? Drop me or Joseph a message, and we’ll get you involved.

  • 📢 "Life at Intuita" Series! 📢   At Intuita, we believe that our people are our greatest strength, and take pride in providing a space for people to explore their interests, growing in areas they are truly passionate about. We are thankful for those who make us who we are and are excited to give you an inside look at our team, and what makes Intuita a fantastic place to work. For our 3rd post of the series, we would like to introduce you to Jure, who has been a member of our team since 2023. Jure is based out of our Croatian office and began as a Junior Analyst. His career with Intuita started when he attended a Data Science Academy held in collaboration between Intuita and Trokut Šibenik. Most recently, Jure was promoted to Consultant - Data Visualisation, a well-deserved promotion.     💜 What led you to your current role? My journey at Intuita began through the Data Science Academy, a joint initiative between Intuita and Trokut Šibenik . It was a great experience, and at the end of it, I was offered a role at Intuita, where I started my career in data consultancy, primarily focusing on data visualisation. 🏢What does your role entail?  Currently, my role involves working with clients to transform raw data into meaningful insights. I focus on designing and delivering dashboards and reports - ensuring that data is presented in a clear and actionable way. 💟What's the best thing about your job?   I love the problem-solving aspect— diving into complex datasets and finding those "aha!" moments in the patterns. There's also a strong learning culture at Intuita, which allows me to continuously develop my skills in data viz and analytics. 💻What platforms have you worked with?  I have experience working with Tableau, Power BI, dbt, and SQL-based databases. Currently, my work involves Snowflake and Tableau. ✍What are you currently working on?  Currently, my role is split across two clients. With one client, I'm making sure their Tableau dashboards are running smoothly and delivering the insights they need. For the other, my focus is on data exploration and building data inputs that the team relies on for developing data models that are used for probabilistic demand forecasting. 💫What's exciting about your current project?   This project is exciting because it’s a major learning opportunity for me, with many new concepts to explore. Demand forecasting is inherently uncertain, and traditional forecasting methods don’t always perform well. By incorporating probabilistic approaches, we can provide a range of possible outcomes rather than a single prediction, enabling better inventory and supply chain decisions. ❓Why Choose Intuita?   Intuita is ideal workplace for data professionals at any career stage; the team is highly collaborative, and there's a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Whether it’s analytics, data engineering, or data viz, Intuita provides the environment to grow and work on cutting-edge projects.
