As #OrganDonationWeek comes to a close, we are encouraging everyone to register their wishes on the NHS Organ Donation register. 9 out of 10 families will support organ donation if their loved one has confirmed their decision on the NHS Organ Donor Register. Thousands of lives have been saved thanks to people agreeing to donate their organs. Registering your wishes makes it clear to your family that you want to be an organ donor. Rachel said: "It is a privilege to care for patients and families at such a difficult time and to enable people to leave a lasting legacy - the gift of life." Congratulations to our Play Specialists, Dionne and Miranda, for being September's Hidden Heroes 🎉 Play specialists support children through therapeutic play. This helps to make their experience enjoyable and reduces anxiety. A parent said "The care my child received led them to not needing sedation. This is because they talked through the procedures using toys, sounds and even a mock MRI scanner, allowing them to be prepared and even relaxed. It has left us with a positive outlook on visiting hospitals and having procedures." 💙
