  • For this month's employee spotlight, we caught up with Mariane, Group Development Director as part of our IPG Health Medical Communications Talent Development Team. 🔎 Read on to discover more about Mariane, her role, and what she get's up to outside of work. 🎨 👯 ☕ ✈️ 🌟 Can you give us a brief summary of what you do in your role? My role involves working to expand our entry-level (Fuel) and experienced talent (Northstar) professional development programs across our commercial medical communications agencies. I work with key stakeholders across the business to outline the approach and the steps needed to effectively launch these programs within the commercial agencies. 🌟 What brought you to Med Comms? I completed my scientific training at Columbia University where I quickly realized that the traditional bench research work in academia was not what I wanted to pursue. At the time, I attended a conference titled “What you can be with a PhD” in which I learned about all the careers you can pursue with a PhD degree, one of which was medical communications. Through that conference, I attended a medical communications workshop that led me to apply for a position within the space. I haven’t looked back since! 🌟 What makes you proud to work for IPG Health Medical Communications? The commitment to cultivating talent and the investment in the development of every single employee makes me extremely proud to be a part of the team! 🌟 What has been your biggest achievement to date? Personally, it is having a happy and healthy family. Professionally, I have been working to expand Fuel, our training and development program that equips entry-level talent with the skills and resources required to launch a successful career in med comms, across to our commercial agencies. We finally have a launch date in the books for this program, and it is such a rewarding feeling to see all the hard work coming together! 🌟 What do you like to do when you’re not working? I always look forward to spending time outdoors with my three young kiddos and husband, especially with the warm summer weather. We love pool time and the beach! I am also a home decor and interior design enthusiast, so you will likely find me immersed in all things home design. 🌟 How do you look after your own well-being? I value alone time to do all the things I enjoy, including spa trips, home decor shopping or just sitting in a beautiful coffee shop enjoying a delicious pastry with coffee. I also love to travel, so I make sure to schedule extended time off to do so. 🌟 List three words to best describe you... Driven. Outgoing. Adaptable. 🌟 Which song is top of your playlist right now? Million Dollar Baby. 🌟 If you could do another job for just 1 day, what would it be? To be the interior designer for a movie set or TV show. 🌟 Tell us something about you that might surprise people... I know all the dance moves to all of Beyonce’s dance songs!

  • Meet Trang, Senior Medical Writer at Caudex | An IPG Health Company. Discover what makes Trang proud to work for IPG Health Medical Communications, how she looks after her wellbeing and her hobbies outside of work.👇 🌟 What does your day-to-day look like in your role? I am a Senior Medical Writer at Caudex. In my current role I develop a variety of materials in medical affairs and publications across different accounts and therapeutic areas (oncology is my favourite). 🌟 What brought you to Med Comms? For me, it’s about resonance. Accurately communicating science is important and even better if there is creative storytelling, but what I love the most is striking the right chord with the audience. 🌟 What makes you proud to work for IPG Health Medical Communications? I feel that we at IPG Health strive to do our best work and push the boundaries with innovative storytelling. I’m also proud that we prioritize taking care of each other. The small acts of kindness go a long way. 🌟 What has been your biggest achievement to date? When I first saw this question, my mind went to the Moxie program, my secondment at CMC Connect, or participating in a successful pitch. Upon further thought, I feel that I am getting better at juggling different tasks (and keeping this in good balance with my non-work life), which is rewarding. 🌟 What do you like to do when you’re not working? When I’m not working, my biggest goal is to avoid technology. I love hanging out with my family and going on long walks. 🌟 How do you look after your own wellbeing? Getting outside really helps me reset. I love running on an incline on the treadmill. I try to stay connected with friends and extended family, and sometimes doing nothing is also restorative. 🌟 What three words describe you best? Questioning, deliberate, committed. 🌟 What song is top of your playlist right now? Roseanne Cash’s ‘Long Black Veil’. 🌟 Tell us something about you that might surprise people I would love to run a food truck.

At the beginning of this year, our team members shared their goals for 2024. Six months in, we’re catching up with Rhiannon, Global Head of Complete HealthVizion | An IPG Health Company to hear how she’s progressing towards her goal – giving back to her community. “I’ve been giving back to both my professional and personal communities through volunteer leadership positions with the Healthcare Communications Association (HCA), and through session leadership at ISMPP (International Society for Medical Publication Professionals) on sustainability in Med Comms, and how we build a better tomorrow. I've also been giving regularly to our local food bank here in North Wales. In the second half of the year, I have more CSR work planned in my local community. I also did something that scared me: jumping off a volcano!” – Rhiannon
