Holocaust Memorial Day takes place every year on 27 January, and this year marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. Today, a group of iQers and Matt Merrick had the privilege of attending the event hosted by Bourne Leisure Ltd a fellow Blackstone portfolio, where they heard from Holocaust Survivor, Mala Tribich MB. Mala Tribich is an extraordinary individual, who despite suffering the unimaginable horrors of the Holocaust, has dedicated much of her life to educating future generations. iQers across our Sites and Offices also had the opportunity to live stream the event. #HMD #UniQue #EDI

At iQ, we've kicked off the New Year putting our best feet forward with our Jump into January Step Challenge. Across the month of January, iQers have teamed up to compete for the title of iQ’s Top Steppers. So far, the 36 teams and 167 iQers have done over 27 million steps and covered over 11,000 miles. It’s been great to see iQers getting out and about (rain or shine) across the UK and sharing pics of some of their stepping locations. Rebekah Thompson shared “Jump into January has been a great motivator for getting back into exercise in the chilly winter months post the festive period. Great progress being made during my latest visit to iQ Cullen House last week. Brickwork is now all complete and the new rooms are really taking shape.   Located opposite our existing property iQ Elgin Place, Cullen House will be ready to welcome students for the 25/26 academic year. We're full of festive spirit at iQ! ✨ Our teams and residents have been busy being 'Give Back elves' this month bringing cheer to children and the elderly across the UK. With a generous helping of Christmas music, hot chocolate and mince pies, it's been heart-warming to see new connections made whilst helping the community. Delighted to announce that our Echo Street, Manchester development has received BREEAM Excellent certification for the design stage of the project. This milestone recognises the commitment of the project team to procedural and design standards and delivers on one of our key project objectives as Client.
