What a busy few days! The IRLA Davies Cup was won by the DWF Team David Abbott David Wynn David Atkins James Nicholls' They were totally on form as David A won 2nd place for individual player, James 3rd place and David W nearest the pin on the 14th. Other mentions - Robert Margetts won the individual slot and Archie Warman nearest the pin on the 8th - and best of all, it didn't rain. The ExCO session went well and we look forward to 4 December for the next session, followed by the Wine Library evening. (You can still book for this). Our tour of EC3 by Insurance Museum had feedback such as 'for professionals who are relatively new to the insurance sector, the tour was very useful and fascinating, it was great to learn about the history and evolution of the insurance business and the London market. Howard Benge very passionately shared fun facts with us as he guided us around alleyways, showing us historical landmarks in the insurance hub of London. It helped me visualise how the business came to life, which helps me relate to it better and deepens my sense of belonging to the insurance world.' Finally our Annual Dinner - with a big thank you to our Events Team on the night - and all those who came and made it such an enjoyable event. Intervention in the commercial banking system is long overdue in the UK. The increase in unnecessary and repeated requests for their own internal 'satisfaction' (having lost or misplaced mandates, IDs etc) has added a huge time burden to many of us. #getyourownhouseinorder
