The maintenance condition of an aircraft’s airframe and engines have always been key components contributing towards an assets value. However, with the current impact of price escalation, these constituents are becoming increasingly important. In this exclusive 3-minute Market Briefing, Eddy Pieniazek, Ishka’s Head of Advisory, discusses the critical factors when assessing values and why it’s the detail that makes the difference when buying, selling or trading aircraft and engines. As a bespoke and complementary service to our online valuations Transactions Economics platform, our team offers customised desktop aircraft valuations, providing a deeper level of analysis by considering the maintenance condition and status of a specific aircraft. Australia has seen significant developments in 2024 so far; whilst the flag carrier, Qantas focused on damage control, the country’s two smaller airlines, Bonza and Rex entered voluntary administration within a couple of months of each other. Virgin Australia also made headlines with Qatar Airways’ announcement of its acquisition plans of Australia’s second largest airline. Meanwhile, Air New Zealand recorded weaker results in FY 2024, dragged down by a particularly weaker second half of the year. These are just some of the key themes featured in our latest Ishka View Extra: Airline Credit Profiles report, our monthly, summary supplement to Ishka's essential Airline Credit Profiles service (https://lnkd.in/eMNN567V). Previously complimentary, this monthly report is now exclusively available to paying Ishka subscribers.
