Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) is known to shorten build times and it's one of the reasons why we're using these materials to build 145 new, affordable homes at pace on the Isle of Wight! In a single day, and working with Captiva Homes Ltd and Isle of Wight-based Gibbs Timber Frame, we have completed three homes at the Three Oaks development in #Newport. This development represents the Island’s largest affordable #housing development in several years and demonstrates the virtues of #MMC to boost sustainability and accelerate the delivery of more new homes. Homes at Three Oaks are some of the first in our unique portfolio of standard house and apartment types that have delivered greater than 75% #carbon reduction, meeting the forthcoming requirements of the Future Homes Standard.
