Using computational advances, we’re working at the cutting edge in the new era of ‘digital biology’. By significantly increasing the pace of scientific research and efficacy of new medicines, we will be at the forefront of breakthroughs that will benefit millions of people.

    Day 1 Speaker Announcement: Max Jaderberg, Chief AI Officer at Isomorphic Labs⤵️ We are pleased to announce that Max Jaderberg, Chief AI Officer at Isomorphic Labs, will be speaking at TEDAI 2024. Max is at the forefront of transforming drug discovery using machine learning, including the application of AlphaFold, the groundbreaking AI model that predicts protein structures. Isomorphic Labs, a digital biology company founded in 2021, aims to redefine drug discovery by harnessing the power of artificial intelligence. Built upon the work of DeepMind (now Google DeepMind), Isomorphic Labs accelerates the discovery process through cutting-edge AI techniques that Max and his team are pioneering. Before leading Isomorphic Labs, Max played a pivotal role at GoogleDeepMind as the head of the Open-Ended Learning research team. His work combined large-scale deep learning, reinforcement learning, and generative models, driving breakthrough achievements such as AlphaStar, Capture the Flag, and Spatial Transformer Networks. Max's journey in AI began when he co-founded Vision Factory, a company specializing in deep learning for image recognition, which was later acquired by Google. Max’s academic background includes a PhD from the University of Oxford, where he developed deep learning algorithms for image understanding. His research is widely published, with articles appearing in Nature, Science, and other leading journals. Max and the team at Isomorphic Labs are pushing the boundaries of digital biology, merging machine learning with computational biology to unlock new possibilities in biomedical research and healthcare.     We were delighted to recently welcome Paralympic Gold Medalist Aaron Phipps MBE PLY and high-performance coach Jonathan Cooper to visit Isomorphic Labs. Aaron's incredible journey and partnership with Jon on the path to winning a Paralympic gold medal in wheelchair rugby and Aaron’s achievement of becoming the first person to scale Mt. Kilimanjaro on his hands and knees was truly inspirational. Their message of the power of #purpose, #resilience, and aiming high deeply resonated with the Iso team. The session was incredibly impactful and left us feeling motivated, inspired and equipped with new strategies to apply to our work. A huge thank you to Aaron Phipps and Jon Cooper for making it truly a day to remember.

    We are delighted to share the breaking news that our CEO and founder Demis Hassabis and Google DeepMind colleague John Jumper have been awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their groundbreaking work creating AlphaFold, along with David Baker for computational protein design. The AlphaFold solution to protein folding was a proof point that AI could be applied to real-world problems and inspired the founding of Isomorphic Labs with a distinct focus on the application of AI to drug discovery. Congratulations to all of this year’s Nobel Laureates!
