How would you describe malware (malicious software)? Scary? Dangerous? How about… annoying? That’s not normally a word I’d use. But a new type of malware has changed my mind. It wants to annoy you into handing over your login details – and put your business data at risk. Here’s how you can avoid it… #CyberSecurity #Malware #KioskMode https://lnkd.in/eXffG7Kn

"Starting in December, Microsoft Teams is introducing a “private moderators” feature that could be useful for your business. The feature will make it possible for moderators to reply to individual questions privately, without sharing the reply with everyone else in the meeting. Imagine you're hosting a big meeting and one of your employees has a question they don’t want to ask in front of the whole group. The new feature should help everyone feel more comfortable, knowing they can raise something in private. This could help to encourage communication in your team - and it'll hopefully help to stop meetings going off track, too. Will you be keeping an eye out for this one? #MicrosoftTeams #BusinessTech #ProductivityBoost" https://lnkd.in/gKZDKWTu

Imagine this: You sit down at your desk, open your laptop – and all your files have gone! Well, no worries. You use backup tools in your business. Right?... But what if they haven’t worked? "Microsoft is going to be rolling out an exciting new AI feature called “Click To Do”, designed exclusively for Copilot+ PCs. Click To Do is a clever overlay that understands what’s on your screen, and offers helpful actions like editing images or searching the web. For example, if you've highlighted some text, Click To Do will suggest options like summarising or rewriting it. Select an image, and it’ll offer to blur backgrounds or remove objects. It’s like having an AI assistant right at your fingertips, helping you work smarter, not harder. This feature could be great for business owners who are short on time. No need to flip between different apps – Click To Do handles everything directly on your screen. It’s going to be the perfect tool to get your everyday tasks done quicker (and let’s face it, who doesn't want this?). Click To Do is coming to Copilot+ PCs later this year. Are you looking forward to trying it out? #AI #Productivity #Microsoft" https://lnkd.in/gDFvAh5W

Imagine this: You’re at a party, and you see a delicious cake. It’s your favourite flavour. But when you look away, it’s gone. The same can happen with your data — it’s valuable and cybercriminals want a piece. However, unlike cake, lost data can permanently damage your business. Data breaches can lead to financial losses, damaged reputation and legal consequences. That’s why it’s crucial to protect your data with robust security measures, including encryption, malware protection, access controls and regular backups. Never let your data become an easy target. Protect it as much as you would protect your most valuable possessions.

"Ever wished your keyboard had more keys? I’m sure it’s something we’ve all (never) thought about, right?! Well, I can tell you who has thought about it: Google Japan. And now they’ve showcased their latest invention – a double-sided keyboard… Yep, you read that right. A double-sided keyboard. And they’ve called it the “Double-Sided Gboard”. It features 208 mechanical keys, complete with RGB lighting, and weighs... erm... 20.8 doughnuts. A serious product for serious people, obviously! It was inspired by the Möbius strip (a one-sided, twisted, continuous loop). The idea is that your keyboard is always the right way up, because it has keys on both sides. Are you just as baffled as I am? Though it sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, and the promo video even suggests it could be used in space, Google isn't planning to sell it. Instead, they've made the plans open source, so you can build one yourself if you’re feeling adventurous. While this keyboard might not be hitting the shelves anytime soon, it’s another example of Google’s tradition of crazy keyboard designs, like their hat keyboard or the keyboard that was also a ruler. Would you and your team have a crack at building the Double-Sided Gboard for your office? #Google #DoubleSidedKeyboard #Gboard" https://lnkd.in/gPTnvM9k
Google showcases bizarre double-sided Japanese keyboard, which it won't sell — the keyboard uses a Möbius strip as its foundation

"I bring good news: Microsoft is working on a new feature that will make it even easier to pin your favourite apps to the Taskbar. Instead of having to look through the Start menu or All Apps list, you’ll be able to drag apps straight from Windows Search and drop them into the Taskbar. It’ll be a time-saver that I think you and your team will love. Microsoft has been improving the Taskbar and Start menu with each update. For example, Windows 11 version 24H2 brought in new shortcuts and the ability to find apps more quickly. While some changes might not be for everyone (like promoting apps in the Start menu), the new drag-and-drop pinning feature is sure to be a great addition for businesses. This feature is currently being tested in the latest preview builds and could roll out to everyone soon. Will you be keeping an eye out for this update? #Windows11 #Taskbar #Microsoft" https://lnkd.in/gFtJUQHh
