📢 AGM reminder Our annual general meeting will be taking place online on Sunday 17th November 2024 from 4pm. Please check your inbox for Zoom registration and login details (you'll need to register before the meeting). 💻 Come along and find out what the ITI WRG has been up to over the past year. The committee will report back to you about our membership, finances and initiatives. This is also your chance to contribute to our committee with ideas for the upcoming year. You'll find last year's AGM minutes and this year's agenda in the Files section of groups.io. Please familiarise yourself with these before the meeting. 📌 This year, we need a volunteer for the role of Social Media Officer, which will be voted on at the AGM. 📌 The other committee roles – Coordinator, Events Officer, Membership Secretary and Treasurer – are currently filled, but you may also volunteer for those if you wish, as all committee members must be voted in each year. We look forward to seeing you there!

Find out more about the Institute of Translation and Interpreting's Subject Networks below. They're a great way to make new connections and access subject-specific CPD. Which are you already a member of? #ITICommunity #CPD #ITINetworks
Did you know that ITI has 12 different Subject Networks? From Marketing, Food & Drink, and International Development, to Law, Insurance & Finance, Medical & Pharmaceutical and Sports, each is dedicated to connecting translators and interpreters working in a particular subject specialism. The networks organise a wide range of training in their specialism and offer a supportive and collaborative environment to discuss subject-specific issues. And, if course, it can lead to work, with members referring clients to their connections. To find out more about ITI’s Subject Networks, head over to our website. https://lnkd.in/enUrWX5t #ITICommunity #MembershipMatters #ITINetworks

Last Saturday was our annual Forest of Dean 'netwalk'. 🍂 We enjoyed a roughly two-hour circular walk stopping at the Blaize Bailey viewpoint where we even came across some prospective clients – should have taken our ITI WRG business cards with us! The weather was very kind to us and it was lovely catching up with everyone! 🌞😎 We stopped at the picturesque Dean Heritage cafe afterwards for a spot of lunch and a hot drink. Thank you to Astrid Freuler MITI for organising and to everyone who joined us! 🍁 #translation #interpreting
