In celebration of #WorldWaterDay 🌊💧, we reflect on the essential and transformative role that water plays in our lives. Water nourishes, heals and connects all living things. It is both a source of life and a symbol of renewal, vital to sustaining ecosystems and communities around the globe. To honour water's role as a universal, life-giving force that brings people together, The Centre was created in 2022 for the @museumofthefuture. The ever-evolving immersive environment uses choreographies of liquid light to encourage a moment of stillness aiming to invite visitors to recentre and look inwards. Drawing inspiration from ancient rituals, such as Victorian spa therapies and Tibetan gong baths, The Centre is a healing environment for future generations. As highly controlled oscillations act upon the liquid, an immersive soundscape envelops the room. Ever evolving, the light and soundscape uses a tightly honed palette of effects inspired by the water cycle. Water coalesces to form clouds, falls as rain, flows as meandering streams and rejoins the ocean. Earlier this week Jason Bruges joined London Art Fair's ‘Tampa Bay: What’s fuelling Growth in Public Art’ panel, alongside Santiago C. Corrada (Visit Tampa Bay), Ya La’ford and Stella Ioannou (LACUNA - Leading Cultural Studio). It was an insightful discussion with some thought-provoking questions that explored the connection between art and place and the impact public art has on our communities. Jason described how Tampa’s thriving ecology inspired Halocline Sky, our first public art commission in #Tampa for Strategic Property Partners and gave a sneak peek into a few of our upcoming artworks. You can find out more about Halocline Sky here: https://lnkd.in/ekwNA9DC. #laf25 #publicart #mediaart #tampabay

Jason Bruges Studio is B Corp Certified! “Since 2002, the Studio and I have been using art to communicate and create catalysts for conversation. In February 2023 we started the slightly daunting process of becoming B Corp Certified. Thanks to the hard work of my team (special thanks to Lydia Ross, Richard Roberts), 14 months later we received the exciting news that the Studio has been verified by B Lab; meaning we meet the high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. My interest is very much in the systems that underpin the natural world, therefore I was very interested in pursuing a verification system that allowed us to interrogate our process and beliefs further. We’re looking forward to collaborating with like-minded individuals and organisations that strive to be ambassadors of hope and change.” Jason Bruges B Lab Find out more: https://lnkd.in/ePVYz-3x #BCorp #businessforgood #sustainability
