With just under a week to go until the Dublin Marathon I am delighted to say that we have reached our target. We actually have £2,700 so far. Thanks to everybody who has donated so far. Great to have Susan McKane from British Business Bank and Una Warnock from Whiterock lead the conversation at The AMP Growth Incubator in Derry. I got the chance to share some great examples of how Whiterock had supported our clients as part of a funding package to support business growth.

Nobody thinks of end of life care until they need it. For my friend Robin, his wife and family Foyle Hospice were there when they needed them in so many ways. That's why I am running the Dublin Marathon , in memory of Robin, to raise funds for the Foyle Hospice. With just over 2 weeks to go I would just like to thank all of those who have donated so far to help us hit our target. But we don't want to stop there, please help if you can.

There was a great event last week hosted by NI Chamber. A sporting panel of Lady Mary Peters, Maria Costello MBE, Jo Hopkins and Neil McManus spoke on athletic excellence, leadership and building resilience both in their sporting and business lives. I don't remember the 1972 Olympics (I was 2!) but Lady Mary's story was the one that gripped me most. How she got 2 buses daily to training, carrying her shot and starting blocks, and didn't have a track to train on! Won the Gold, then insisted on coming back to Belfast despite threats to her life. Don't get much more resilient than that. Well done NI Chamber
