🎉 We're excited to announce the return of Cultura Circular (Circular Culture), now in its third cohort. This programme from JB’s Creative Green team in collaboration with British Council Americas, is all about empowering arts festivals across Latin America and the Caribbean to take bold steps towards sustainability. 🌱 From September 2024 to April 2025, 40 festivals across 10 countries - including Chile and Jamaica, who are joining us for the first time - will participate. These festivals span art forms from film to performance to literature, and they’ll be sharing knowledge and learning from our team at Julie's Bicycle as well as from each other. This year, we've expanded the programme with exciting new elements, including a podcast where festival teams will discuss their sustainability journeys. Our goal is to drive real change in the arts sector and support these festivals to scale up their sustainable practices. Whether it's cutting plastic use, rethinking transportation, or collaborating with local authorities on recycling initiatives, Cultura Circular aims to make a tangible difference. Read more about the new cohort and stay tuned for the upcoming podcast. >>> https://lnkd.in/e9C7zx2R 📸 from La Bienal de Música Córdoba

We're proud to have been a key partner in the ADE Green story for the past 10 years. From helping to shape the programme to facilitating panels and workshops, we're part of a generous community and are excited for the event this week. So how are we contributing this year? #CreativeClimateLeadership alumni Syed Jazib Ali will be hosting a panel on climate justice. The panel will explore pathways to dismantle existing barriers, amplify unheard voices for a more just and resilient world. The event is a collaboration with Lyke Poortvliet (a fellow CCLer) and is one of the projects made possible through our CCL network funding. We look forward to the rich conversations on Friday >> https://buff.ly/3zGFwra #CreativeClimateAction

An update from our sister company... #CreativeClimateAction
We’re part of the GreenCCIrcle project and have been working in partnership with 10 organisations across 10 countries for the last 9 months. This European Union funded project aims to understand best practice in sustainability facilitation across the Creative and Cultural Industries in Europe. Last week JB Europe’s Megan Best and Caroline Purkayastha attended a project workshop in Valladolid, Spain. We had lots of exciting discussions emphasising the importance of creative stakeholder engagement to ensure that sustainability is everyone's responsibility. Our focus now is on creating the training and education that is necessary for arts organisations to implement environmentally responsible practices and green skills for sustainable transformation in their places. We’re developing a Green Toolkit which will help cultural organisations to assess and improve their environmental impact, and understand the benefits of sustainable business practices. We’re currently refining its structure in preparation for some stakeholder testing where real work-life challenges will be used to provide feedback on the toolkit. Interested in the project? Sign up to the GreenCCIrcle newsletter for information on the forthcoming Green Toolkit >> https://lnkd.in/eCJGCtmi GreenCCircle partners include: CreativeFED (EFCE), Materahub, Xamk - South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, Creative Industry Košice // CIKE, INFODEF Institute for the Promotion of Development and Training, Fondazione Università Ca' Foscari, Estonian Academy of Arts, Baltic Film & Creative Tech Cluster, Fundacja Arteria, AIKU - Arte Impresa Cultura, Julie's Bicycle, Native Events
