You know that person who won't stop talking about that time they went travelling.   Well it's time we say sorry.   Because over the last couple of weeks, we've been guilty of not shutting up about the Big Startup 5K.   But we're not taking all the responsibility. Our LinkedIn's have been flooded with posts from all the brilliant people who attended the event.   So whilst we can only apologise to anyone in our networks for having to see yet another 5K post, we want to say a HUGE thank you every single person that came along (with a special thanks to our sponsors Novabook, YuLife, Focal, Lucky Saint | B Corp™ , Boundless, ELEAT, JAMES WHITE DRINKS LTD).   You all made the event and we've absolutely loved seeing the connections (both within your teams and with others) you've all made.   Luckily for you, this video captures everything we want to convey so we'll save your feeds and stop going on about it now.   Time for business to resume as usual. 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗨𝗠𝗣𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝟱𝗞 Last week, we were at the Jumpstart Battersea 5K, where we had the pleasure of offering our lager and Hazy IPA to all the finishers. Jumpstart is all about making startup careers accessible for everyone, whether you’re a recent graduate or a seasoned professional. In just two years, they’ve launched over 200 startup careers, helping people push their limits. It was inspiring to see so many startups come together, test their boundaries, and celebrate with a well-deserved Lucky Saint, all in one place. Cheers to everyone who took part, and here’s to more events like these in the future.

I can't believe we did that.   Just over 6 weeks ago, Matthew Sarre and Emilie Lauga joked about creating the startup version of the J.P. Morgan corporate challenge.   What started out as a far-fetched idea became reality and suddenly the wheels were in motion to make it happen.   It has been a full-on few weeks (don't mention the words 'Marshall Plan' to Emilie or Ellie Pogrund anytime soon) but somehow, 1000 of you turned up last night and we LOVED it!   Yes, there were teething issues (the bag drop *cough*) BUT despite that, we had an incredible evening connecting with everyone and CELEBRATING all things startups 🤩   RESULTS: Congratulations to our rapid winners who have won themselves a weekend away in an Unyoked cabin (thanks to Novabook, the accountant for startups, for contributing the prizes).   🥇 Fastest man – Max Glennon from Adsum (16:27) 🥇 Fastest woman - Bethanie Murray from Lendable (17:50)   This event would not have been possible without our brilliant sponsors. I've been told it's a good idea to embody your brand... 🐔 We hosted a game of Chicken Rush for Jumpstart a couple of weeks ago where they mentioned their 5KM race for startups. So I went along to the race. Chicken suit on. The only one wearing fancy dress out of 1000+ others 🤣 Huge thanks to Jumpstart for the event, really cool to see so many startup folk in one place. PS. Yes, I started melting around 2km in.

Still can't believe I actually completed the JS5K, considering the last time I ran anything close to that was a few 1.5ks back in Year 9 👧 I was totally planning to walk the full 5k, and had downloaded just enough podcast episodes to keep myself entertained along the way, but ended up running the first lap with my new friend Hayfa (thanks for the encouragement!!) Feelin' great, incredibly proud (and increasingly them thighs) 💪 A huge shoutout to Team Jumpstart, especially the incredible Emilie!! Those two cans of ice-cold Lucky Saint | B Corp™ were just what we all needed after the race 🏃♀️🍻

Guess the before vs after photo... Yesterday, Nadia Elgaddal finally concluded her couch to 5k journey. She (+ a bunch of supportive YuCrew) completed Jumpstart's 5k marathon! 👏 Thank you Jumpstart for the great event! 👏 Congrats to all the start-ups who took part! 👏 Thank you to the YuCrew for supporting Nadia through this journey both digitally and taking part in the race!

Celebrating the Start Up Spirit with Jumpstart’s 5K 🏃♀️
 Start-up life often feels like a race - full of speed, ups and downs, sweat, and sometimes tears. But ultimately, everyone is heading towards an awesome and ambitious end goal. So it was awesome to collide those two worlds when 🍒 Phoebe Cherry and I joined Jumpstart’s 5k the world’s largest startup run aiming to rival corporate giants.
 Organising an event of this scale in just 7 weeks? Now that’s startup spirit in action! As Richard Branson famously said, “Screw it, just do it,” and Jumpstart epitomises this ethos.
 Beyond the run, it was a great chance to expand our startup network, connecting with fellow innovators, and enjoying the journey. Often we feel like intruders in this space full of tech platforms, funding chat, and VC backing, but we loved being a part of it with Strive Events Agency 🦩 Kudos to Matthew Sarre for dreaming up this incredible event, giving the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge a much needed run for it's money, and to Emilie Lauga for bringing the event to life 🚀
