IMF - New Report on affect of AI on Jobs The IMF has publish a new report, focusing on how #ai will affect jobs. Suffice to say, that enterprises will need to consider how to #retrain their teams to adapt to the use of AI across every part of their business. Our businesses are taking an #aifirst approach to every team, process and software. Reach out to me any time to discuss! Here is a summary: Around 40% of jobs globally are highly exposed to AI, with advanced economies having higher exposure (60%) compared to emerging markets (40%) and low-income countries (26%). Companies need to assess their workforce's exposure to AI automation and disruption. AI adoption can lead to productivity gains, higher economic growth, and potentially higher incomes for most workers if AI strongly complements human labor. However, income and wealth inequality may rise as returns accrue disproportionately to high earners. Younger and more educated workers tend to adapt better to AI-related occupational changes. Older workers may struggle more with re-employment, mobility and acquiring new skills. Companies should focus retraining programs accordingly. Advanced economies like the US and UK are better positioned to harness AI's benefits thanks to strong digital infrastructure, human capital, and adaptable regulations. Emerging markets face gaps in these areas. Multinational companies need to account for these differences across geographies. To fully leverage AI's potential, companies need to prioritize digital innovation capacity and adapting legal/ethical frameworks to govern AI advances responsibly. Building workforce skills to interact with AI tools is also essential to see productivity gains. https://ow.ly/NgTf50Qr9zU
