Kennet pupils had an extraordinary opportunity recently to gain hands-on experience with Stryker UK’s world-leading medical technology and healthcare solutions. At this innovative event, pupils were welcomed by Stryker's design, manufacturing, maintenance, and technical teams, as well as NHS and private surgical clinicians, and industry partners. They immersed themselves in cutting-edge experiences: 🩺 'Operating' on patients 🤖 Exploring robotic technology for surgical theatres 🕶️ Using virtual reality headsets to scan trauma patients 🏥 Handling and controlling next-generation surgical tools and equipment Beyond the hands-on learning, pupils discovered the wide range of roles and opportunities within the healthcare sector, the skills required, and pathways to these careers. Staff and pupils alike described the experience as ‘beyond mind-blowing,’ and thanks to their exemplary conduct, we’ve already been invited back next year!
