Finally here at the 2024 Caravan Show at the NEC. I am very proud of this product it is fantastic and so unique it literally stops people in their tracks, I watched people as they walked by their heads spinning until they had to stop and talk to us. Only 8 weeks ago our partner AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group agreed to allow us to display our unique AddVenture Leisure Ltd with their new E&P Hydraulics UK level system on their stand. The team AKFS Special Vehicles Ltd performed a miracle to get the vehicle here with the help of my own "Superman" Matt Kent he pulled off the impossible and he worked like he always does "tirelessly" to dress the stand whilst I take the credit for the crazy ideas that is the innovation produced by our great staff I could not do it without these supportive people. The Production Team who build my crazy ideas, I know they like me saying I have this great idea and pushing them along. Helping to buy parts and doing prooduction planning for my crazy ideas Becky Crockford Emma Norton Dean A Oram And our Managing Director Andrew Hawkyard who has retained all his hair despite daily calls from me saying I have this crazy idea he is so supportive but I am sure he misses my calls when it's a weekend or a holiday. The support and positive outlook by all in the company that I started 21 years ago blows me away, with just me my briefcase i had to bounce myncrazy ideas off my loyal Black Lab Pollly and all she wanted was walkies and treats. I genuinely didnt know where i would go it's been a journey like I can't describe and I never thought in 1996 at my 1st show at the NEC I would be here some 28 years later at a Caravan Show with such a unique product. It's a bit ironic that the AddVenture #WhereWouldYouGo if I have known that 21 years ago I bet I would not have planned this. I love the leisure business but never actually been in this space I remember walking around Earls Court back in the 90s seeing if I could sell chassis conversions to Motorhome builders but didn't pursue it. So here I am for 6 days at the NEC with Nathan Worthy Stephen Phillips if you are here come and see us The AddVenture project started 3 years ago when I sat with our then designer Dominic Sampays again I drove him made with my crazy idea and he had to make it come to life. Of course a show vehicle would not be a show vehicle without some drama and we needed some from our dealer network so frantic calls to an old connection got us sorted so thanks to Colin Harvey for helping me out. The level system fitted adds such a value to the vehicle again thanks to them for fitting it at our site Dan Taylor Adam B.
