About us

KHIPU Networks is an award winning international Cyber Security Company delivering a wide range of network, wireless and security solutions, technologies and services across multiple sectors. Founded in 2005, KHIPU Networks’ ethos has always been to work in partnership with customers, to understand their environments and challenges so that we can design and deploy ‘Best of Breed’ solutions that enable them to meet their strategic goals. KHIPU Networks expanded to Africa in 2012 and have an office in Mauritius and two offices in South Africa which includes a Security Operations Centre (SOC) to increase the reach and functionality of our managed services, specifically our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) focus. In 2013, KHIPU was awarded a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty the Queen for providing Network Security Services to the Royal Household, a mark of quality, sustainability and exceptional workmanship. Many organisations assume their network is secure if it is within the building and they have a firewall. As initiatives such as BYOD and Cloud become mainstream strategies, the threats to data integrity and security have increased 100x above most organisations stretched systems capability. KHIPU's expertise in security, access and control of the network and our pro-active focus on designing, supporting and maintaining complex customer environments has enabled us to become market leader in providing cyber security solutions with exceptional customer references.

🚨𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 - 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗶𝘅𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 Barton Peveril Sixth Form College, the largest Sixth Form College in the UK accelerates connectivity & cyber security with KHIPU’s Managed SOC, HPE Aruba Networking and Palo Alto Networks solution. Like the majority of further- and higher education institutions, Barton Peveril Sixth Form College is facing a common set of networking and cyber security challenges. With students and staff members each requiring secure, around-the-clock access to their network via an increasing number of devices. With their latest project, The Barton Peveril IT Team knew they must strike the balance between consistent network performance, resilience and security. 💬 ‘I believe that, as a sector, [Education] is now at a stage where 24x7 cyber threat protection is nothing short of essential. Institutions are being continuously targeted and, whilst we have a full team at Barton Peveril, many institutions are often understaffed and rarely have a dedicated cyber security engineer or specialist; this is where the [KHIPU] SOC comes in – acting as a seamless extension of your team around the clock’ Charlie Davis , IT Manager, Barton Peveril Sixth Form College. 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵: 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀! 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟐: 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵: “I can easily spot a phishing email because they’re full of spelling errors and strange language.” 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: While early phishing emails often contained glaring errors, cybercriminals have evolved. Today, phishing emails can look incredibly professional and convincing, using logos and language that appear legitimate. Some attacks are even tailored specifically for you, making them much harder to detect at first glance. We spoke to Don Dyer, our cybersecurity expert, who shared: "𝐼𝑡'𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑝𝑜𝑜𝑟 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑚𝑚𝑎𝑟 𝑎𝑛𝑦𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒. 𝑇𝑜𝑑𝑎𝑦, 𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑐𝑘𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑠𝑜𝑝ℎ𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡𝑜𝑜𝑙𝑠 - 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝐴𝐼 - 𝑡𝑜 𝑐𝑟𝑎𝑓𝑡 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑚𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑎𝑔𝑒𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑎𝑣𝑣𝑖𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑢𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑓𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑓𝑜𝑟." 🔍 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿: ✅Unexpected emails asking you to click on a link or open an attachment. ✅Messages that create a sense of urgency, claiming you’ll lose access or face penalties. ✅Email addresses that don’t quite match the official domain of the company they claim to be from. 🔑 𝗣𝗿𝗼 𝘁𝗶𝗽: Always verify the sender by checking their email address and avoid clicking on links directly from emails. When in doubt, visit the official website or contact the sender via a trusted source. #CyberMythBusters #Phishing #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth #StayAlert #ThinkBeforeYouClick

𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵: 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀! 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟏: 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 🔐 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵: A strong password is enough to keep your accounts safe. 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: While a strong password is essential, it’s just the first line of defense. Even the strongest password can be compromised if it’s exposed in a data breach. Cybercriminals often obtain stolen credentials from breaches and use them to access accounts. We spoke to Don Dyer, one of our cybersecurity experts, about the most common misconceptions around passwords. Here’s what he had to say: "𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙙-𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮. 𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝? 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨, 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙩 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙠." The solution? Strengthen your security by pairing your strong password with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). MFA adds an extra layer of protection, requiring not only your password but also something only you have, like a mobile device. This makes it much harder for attackers to get into your accounts - even if they have your password. 🔑 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀: ✅ Use a unique password for each account - don’t reuse passwords across multiple sites. ✅ Combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols for a stronger password. ✅ Regularly update your passwords - especially for important accounts. ✅ Enable MFA on all your accounts to add an extra layer of protection 🔍 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄? According to the Verizon 2023 Data Breach Investigations Report, 74% of breaches involve the human element, including weak or compromised passwords. Protect yourself by using password managers to create and store strong, unique passwords for every site!! #CyberMythBusters #StrongPasswords #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth #MFA #StaySafeOnline #PasswordManagement
