We LOVE creating Team Away Days. They can be one of the fastest and most impactful ways to bring a team together and leave the cohort with long-lasting, positive results. Skyler Shah 🧠 & Will Grover recently supported Medical Defence Shield Ltd in creating an engaging away day that was built around Communication Skills, Increasing Awareness (of self and others) and Building the Teams. Here's what one of the delegates had to say! #teambuilding #awayday #corporateawayday #corporatetraining #teamtraining #leadershipdevelopment #leadershiptraining #communicationskills #professionaldevelopment

On the train back home from a team training in Central London. My inbox is already filling up with reviews and feedback, which I'll share soon. It's a welcome reminder of the impact of our model and material. So much of my work today is building the relationships and training that Kind. delivers, so seeing it literally change lives and shift perspectives in person only cemented the knowledge that we are on the right path. We're breaking the leadership and communication training industry by delivering way above what you've experienced before. Training that actually makes and impact, and lasts. Ask me how...

As we make our business creating tangible change in workplace performance, we make it our business to share thoughts, ideas and data that too can change lives. Here's a great post on some of the dynamics involved with changing jobs by Catherine Ferrary Simon

We've all been there - the job that feels a bit stale. Maybe there is something better out there... but maybe you already have what you need. Job conditions have changed drastically over the past four years. From an "employee market" where benefits are bigger and better month after month, to "employer market" where the reins become tighter. Enjoying that awesome remote-friendly office? Don't be so sure you're next move will give you that same flexibility. Does your company prioritize transparency? Lucky you, it's not nearly as common as you might think. Before you take the leap into a new role, let's get real about your current situation. Here are some questions to consider. #careerchange #careergoals #worklifebalance

You're wasting SO much money on Team Trainings. Don't believe me, the data speaks for itself... Not something you'd expect to hear from the Founder of a training organisation, right? The shame of it is that it is the honest to God truth. Choose your statistic: 75% of 1,500 managers surveyed from across 50 organizations were dissatisfied with their company’s Learning & Development (L&D) function 70% of employees report that they don’t have mastery of the skills needed to do their jobs Only 12% of employees apply new skills learned in L&D programs to their jobs Only 25% of respondents to a recent McKinsey survey believe that training measurably improved performance. And there's more where that came from. It's no wonder that many of you as HR Leaders elect to take training in-house. You don't want to see the statistics on those trainings. But having an external partner, a specialist in boosting the impact, morale, retention, bottom-line, heck everything can be the Oxygen your company needs to truly thrive. So what's going wrong? Well, given the fact that: 70% of employees would be somewhat likely to leave their current job to work for an organization known for investing in employee development and learning. 34% of employees who left their previous job were motivated to do so by more career development opportunities. 86% of millennials would be kept from leaving their current position if training and development were offered by their employer. Over 70% of high-retention-risk employees will leave their company in order to advance their career. Retention rates rise 30-50% for companies with strong learning cultures.... Quite a lot. Poor training is making your company bleed, from salary slippage (link below) to turnover, inefficiency and simply, paying for support that doesn't hit the mark. We believe we understand the problem. Firstly, you've GOT to stop hiring companies that want to pedal you off-the-shelf trainings. Nothing about you, your organisation or your people is off-the-shelf. You're worth more than that, and honestly, off the shelf is just a euphemism (in our industry at least) for high profit turnover services. Choose a company that leads with the highest quality output, not one that works for the highest profit margins. Secondly, if you're going to invest, do it properly. 'Big' companies sell you template trainings for medium to big money. Small companies charge you scraps and don't necessarily give you the highest quality, but they're cheap and can give you time, that's an edge. Consider your ROI - no matter what you spend, your ROI is what's important. What is going to deliver you the strongest, longest-lasting results? We always deliver bespoke trainings that guarantee results. We could explain how, but that's better saved for a conversation. In the mean time, don't get ripped off. https://lnkd.in/epWcMvHj

You want to raise the bottom line. What's your strategy? Streamlining processes or people and finding ways to cut cost? Or maybe try to increase sales and improve offerings. Both are effective, but neither are as effective as reducing Salary Slippage.

Your time is important to us, and ours is too! Here's to building business with respect, honesty and trust!

CEO & Founder @Kind. "Secret Weapon of HR professionals Across The Globe, Partnering on People Development Projects"

"At the beginning of my career as a coach, eager for work, I once consciously watched a phone call from a prospective lead ring through. Why? I was hungry and wanted to eat a sandwich." We get emails every day enquiring about working with us. Our unique approach to training and program development ensures that we regularly have opportunities to present our bespoke services to organisations across the globe. Sometimes however, those enquiries ask us to jump through hoops. These hoops are, to a trained behavioural expert, transparent and will clearly lead these prospective clients to a slip 'n' slide of inefficiency. Moreover, they will without a doubt end up working with an organisation that has too much time on their hands, and who will charge the least for their 'expert' services. Recently, instead of jumping through those hoops and buying our raffle ticket to 'win' a multi-billion dollar client which would have involved blindly shooting arrows into the dark and designing a brochure based on a 3-word heading; with no scope to actually have a conversation outside of the format of email exchanges, I thought I'd instead use my time to remind you, my network and fans of Kind., to value your time. Time is a finite resource, yours WILL run out. Set boundaries on how you want to work, when you want to work and who you want to work with. In fact, make good practice of boundary setting in all areas of your life, you'll thank me for it later! At Kind. we design bespoke programmes based on the specific needs of your organisation, your teams and your individuals. We make certain that we're clear of your outcomes and motivations before we even begin to 'design' something for you so that we know we will actually hit the bulls-eye and create a real impact on your organisation, ensuring long-lasting positive change. For us, this involves having a conversation first. Beyond anything else, it's important that we build a relationship of mutual trust, respect and honesty and in order to do this, we'll need to BUILD a relationship. Let's be human, and be human kind. If you'd like to see just how a personal approach to driving progress and development looks in your organisation and teams, reach out, we'd be more than happy to help.

As the frequency of conversations around mental health increase, the ever-present truth is this. There is more to all of us than we let on. Period. Deborah, one of our extraordinary facilitators, exercised honesty, openness and vulnerability today sharing her experience with Lipedema to increase the awareness of the condition on World Lipedema Day. Thank you for leading by example, Deborah Hartung. The world, and workplaces, are much richer and kinder with people like you.

Today is World Lipedema Day, and I'm choosing to share a part of my life that I usually keep private. I live with lipedema, a chronic, progressive condition of the connective tissue and abnormal fat cells that causes pain, swelling, and mobility issues. To others, I may just look “overweight”, but this isn't obesity. #Lipedema is a hidden #disability that's often misunderstood and misdiagnosed, as the manifesto for today highlights. Living with this chronic illness means living with daily pain. 🧍♀️I can't stand for long (5 minutes is long!) 🚶♀️I can’t walk far (a mile is far!), or 🏫 climb stairs without significant pain and discomfort. It can be incredibly isolating, but it's also made me a stronger advocate for #inclusion in the workplace. We need to create environments where everyone feels comfortable disclosing their needs and where those needs are met with understanding and support, instead of ignorance or judgment. Let's break the stigma around hidden disabilities like lipedema and work together to build more inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive. And if you see me out and about or catch me at an event, don’t judge me for taking the elevator or grab a seat with me and let’s chat! #WorldLipedemaDay #equity #accessibility #awareness
