We stand united with engineers and manufacturers, and we feel it is important to voice our concerns over some of the proposed employment plans hinted at by the Government since their election. The rights to unfair dismissal from day one, coupled with unrealistically short probationary periods will discourage companies from hiring the skilled talent they desperately require. Could this be the tipping point for our mounting skills shortage? Will we see an increase in unworthy temporary contracts? Dan Castles had a fantastic time with Tim at the Southampton Boat Show yesterday!

All of those Maschinenfabrik Berthold HERMLE AG machines are rather a sight to behold. Our strategic development manager, Simon Dutton MSc, recently made a visit to support a project for one of our largest customers. Tooling automation is their current focus, so our commitment to a collaborative approach and our relationship with Hermle have ensured that this stage of the project is off to a fantastic start. The C50 and C52UMT machines are producing critical rotating parts for the aero engine industry.
