The KTA Cricket team had a good showing at the TBF DevonandCornwall Annual Cricket day. We may not have made the finals but we certainly enjoyed an afternoon out in the sun catching up with fellow construction industry professionals. #Cricket 🏏

KTA is an Exeter based Studio whose roots go back to 1984, with a group of design professionals with considerable experience and an enviable reputation working on a number of projects across the UK. That reputation is based on winning a substantial number of awards, including six coveted Civic Trust Awards. We believe that skilful architects have the opportunity to enhance people’s lives and it is this which forms the enthusiastic design philosophy of the Studio. The two Directors have assembled a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Architects and Technicians, backed up by state of the art Revit facilities throughout. An in-house service is provided by a visualisation team who can produce the very latest presentation material, perspectives, colour and interiors, all backed up by ‘walk through’ and ‘fly through’ productions using drone footage. We can give Clients a virtual reality of our designs through VR headsets: this has proved to be a very popular and effective tool, which underwrites our own design decisions with truthful techniques. Our design teams always aim to provide visually exciting and workable schemes that fit Clients’ needs. We are always very conscious of budget and quality and we are very proud of our reputation in all these respects.

It is great to see coverage in the local press of the work we recently completed at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. We were thrilled to attend the Exeter College Construction & the Built Environment Celebration of Achievement Awards 2023 - 2024 last night at Falcon House yesterday evening. Oliver Welsh, our T-Level placement student for the past 2 years won the Learner of the Year award for his cohort on the Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning T Level. And the KTA Design Prize 2024 goes to...Samuel Brazier. Samuel's work stood out to us through his innovative use of emerging technologies. The project fosters resilience and adaptability, using Artificial Intelligence (AI) within design workflows as a tool for critical analysis and continuous iterative design. Well done to the University of Plymouth School of Architecture for their excellent End of Year Show, a fantastic selection of work being celebrated through a well curated exhibition. KTA had the pleasure of sponsoring the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust ‘Our People Awards’ last night which was an opportunity to celebrate all of the amazing staff that work throughout the Trust. Having worked with the Trust for many years, it was a great opportunity to talk to the people who work in the buildings that we have designed and been involved with to understand how much they make a difference to not only the staff but also the patients.
