As the leading tyre supplier to fleets in the UK, we were delighted to host our inaugural Tyre Insights Day for the fleet industry, with the event attended by key decision makers from industry leading leasing and rental companies. Collectively the attendees are responsible for a combined fleet of over 1.5 million vehicles. We designed the event to provide information which could help fleets improve safety by reducing accident rates, manage tyre wear across their vehicles and ultimately reduce costs. The event was held at the MIRA Technology Park near Nuneaton. This allowed us to not only share our tyre market expertise, but also to offer attendees first hand driving experiences behind the wheel in different conditions - under the safe tutelage of experienced test drivers. The combination of activity modules in the day’s programme was specifically designed to help inform fleets in their planning, both for the medium and long term. Presentations included discussions on the challenges faced by both vehicle and tyre manufacturers, forthcoming legislation and future vehicle technology. Our tyre experts also covered developments in tyre complexity, both in the context of meeting the widening needs of the ever-changing car parc and in responding to the drive for more sustainable products. The day also included data from Kwik Fit’s proprietary analysis of current rates of tyre wear, examining the difference between ICE vehicles and EVs. We have arguably the largest dataset on tyre wear in the UK, with more than 1.2 million observations being added to the data by our analysts each year. This information can be tailored by vehicle type to enable large business customers to plan for any changes in the profile of their own fleet. The attendees were able to experience different types of vehicle and different types of tyres for themselves. Tests included comparisons between budget and premium tyres when straight line braking on wet and icy surfaces, as well as the difference in handling on wet and dry roads. Guests were able to feel for themselves the levels of confidence different tyres provided when handling unexpected situations. As the leading tyre provider to fleets in the UK we are aware that we have a lot of information which is useful to fleets, and we were delighted to make that available. Earlier this month, Stuart and his daughter took on the brutal Tough Mudder course in Birmingham for Air Ambulances UK 🚁👏 Crawling through mud, carrying tree trunks and swimming under tyres (we usually fit them 😜) were all obstacles Stuart and his daughter took on during the gruelling challenge! The pair raised a whopping £1500 for our charity partner and even signed up to do another😮 Huge congratulations to both of you, a very well deserved rest is needed👏 Swipe for the before!!

On Sunday, 1st September, Kwik Fit proudly participated in the Krazy Races event in Wolverhampton. The day was filled with thrilling soapbox races, featuring various teams, including Kwik Fit’s own apprentice team, the "Apprentice Express," which impressively secured 3rd place overall. As the official pit lane sponsor, Kwik Fit provided an array of exciting attractions for attendees. Fans had the chance to snap photos with the BTCC NAPA racing car, experience the Kwik Fit VW ID Buzz up close, and witness live Kwik Fit Mobile tyre demonstrations. Not to mention, there were plenty of giveaways, making the event a sea of Kwik Fit caps! We were also delighted to welcome Mr. Teddy from Air Ambulances UK who joined in on the racing fun. A huge thank you to everyone who made this event a roaring success!

West Highland Way Challenge✅ Last week, a Kwik Fit team completed the West Highland Way challenge across 6 days. The challenge covered 102 miles in total, a mix of terrain and difficult weather conditions🌧️☔ A few pulled muscles and blisters later (ouchie!), the team finished and raised a whopping £2,700 for our charity partner Air Ambulances UK 🚁👏 Well done to you all and thank you to everyone who donated! Mr Teddy on Tour🐻🧸 Teddy tours has come to an end.... for now... Over 4 weeks, Mr Teddy on has visited 19 destinations, embraced the local community and heard some amazing stories! In total, £5,000 has been raised for our charity partner Air Ambulances UK 🚁 THANK YOU to our Midlands Division, everyone who donated, waved and took pictures of Mr Teddy's tours! What a great achievement from our Kwik Fit Tech Support guys!👏✨ Over the weekend, Sean, Dave, John, Neil, Jake and Ben all ran a half marathon in support of Mind Charity. In total, they raised over £800 for the incredible cause. Thanks to everyone who donated and well done to all who ran🏃♀️🏅
