An incredible honour to host the Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia (Mr Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve) and eleven MPs at the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge to present our research and explore bilateral UK-Mongolia collaborations in #infrastructure and #construction through our centres: Cambridge Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction, Laing O'Rourke Centre for Construction Engineering and Technology, University of Cambridge and National Research Facility for Infrastructure Sensing.

How can we inspire the next generation of women in STEM? ⭐ Dr Olivia Remes delivered an engaging talk on empowering young women in STEM at the 'She Talks Science Student Conference' at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge. Drawing from Olivia's research at the University of Cambridge, as well as her collaborative research work with #CEM student Oka Chan CEng MICE involving schoolgirls, she emphasised the importance of role models in these fields, highlighting how women's involvement is crucial for solving the world's most pressing challenges and sets a powerful example for future generations of girls passionate about science and maths. A new project in Cambridge, led by Professor Ioannis Brilakis and his team, is using AI to predict and fix road defects before they turn into costly potholes. By scanning roads and analysing data with AI, they can pinpoint issues early—saving time, money, and lives.
