Some report extracts: Intentions to visit Scotland Looking forward to the Spring (January to June 2025), Scotland was the third most preferred destination to visit, as well as being the top destination for current residents. Contrary to previous reporting, actual bookings for Scotland spring trips were higher than for other UK destinations. More than two fifths (42%) had booked their trip.

We’ve released our 2024 Trade Snapshot, providing an overview of the UK’s food and drink trade performance last year. The report reveals: 📈 Food and non-alcoholic drink exports totalled £16.9bn in 2024 📈 Imports to the UK reached their highest level in 2024, worth £63.1bn 📉 However, food and drink exports to the EU are down over a third, compared to 2019 levels 📉 Global food and drink exports fell 12.6% last year With the data revealing a concerning gap between UK food and drink imports and exports with Europe, FDF is calling for the government to prioritise developing a strategic approach to EU trade relations to help reverse this trend and boost UK exports.
