📢 Parkside regeneration welcomes reserved matters planning approval 📢 The chairman of Parkside Regeneration, the joint venture company tasked with delivering the redevelopment of Parkside Colliery in Newton-le-Willows, has welcomed today’s approval of the company’s ‘reserved matters’ application for the scheme’s first phase. “It’s been a long road to get to this point, but that’s a function of the project’s transformational scale and the detailed nature of what was required to get us here,” stated John Downes who began his career at Parkside in 1976. We had a great time attending the St Helens Chamber interactive careers conference today. Attending as a Parkside representative we showcased all the different jobs that could be created as a part of the scheme. As a team we put together a range of activities that the young people thoroughly enjoyed from matching job titles to job descriptions as well as giving the young people a budget to consider what costs were involved with such a scheme and then we asked them to create a wellbeing space for a school where they needed to consider accessibility, sustainability and wellbeing spaces.
