Last year I fell into a pit of despair and depression - which I now know was caused by ‘empathic distress’. This is what someone suffers from when they witness unbearable sufferings and feel utterly helpless as they watch on, seemingly able to do very little. Last month I finally got myself out of this hole and started to write about my vision and mission as I tried to make sense of the world and my place in it. Cue Give A Sh*t - a platform for people who give a shit about the world and centre their efforts around community *and* profit. Today - a true pinch me moment as my new branding arrives moments before I catch a train to London to a series of events where I finish my three day trip with my LAUNCH EVENT for #GAStalks 🌐🎤💚 I’ll be joined by Tamu T. and Sara Dalrymple in the gorgeous The Hearth venue as we discuss how to make more money in order to have more impact, we’ll be exploring the reframe necessary to prioritise making money, embracing everyday activism and showing up for ourselves *and* the causes that matter most to us.
