It was a pleasure to chair the insightful discussion at the unmissable yearly film night during #ChinaWeek, hosted by the Lau China Institute, King's College London. This year we featured I Wish I Knew, a documentary on the history of Shanghai by Chinese film legend Jia Zhangke, at The Garden Cinema A big thank you to the incredible panellists, Professor Chris Berry and Dr Vivienne Xiangwei Guo, for their contributions.

Happy to have participated in yesterday's panel on the Chinese model of infrastructure development that featured Thomas White, Agnieszka Joniak-Luethi, Miriam Driessen, and Elisa Oreglia. Grateful for the opportunity to share my research on the #BRI and #DSR in Kazakhstan and look forward to more insightful discussions during the #ChinaWeek2024 at Lau China Institute, King's College London.

I was delighted to moderate a discussion convened on 15 October by Alex Arduino as part of “China Week”, flagship event of the Lau China Institute, King's College London. A superb panel - Alex, Meia Nouwens 温玫雅, Zeno Leoni and Dr Andreas Krieg - shared insights on “China’s approach to security and networked-statecraft in the MENA region”. The large and engaged audience (and the moderator) learned an immense amount about a key dynamic in current geopolitics, regional and global.
