A fantastic event, for a brilliant charity - The Pink Place. Associates, family and friends gathered, teamwork was in full force and a whopping £1548.50 was raised - read more below to discover the winning team!
What a fantastic evening with the team from Lavazza Professional UK last night as Sam Bennett, Sam Allen and Chris Webb organised a wonderful charity football match between a team from the office and a team from the factory. Here's Sam Bennett (centre) and Ken MacIsaac handing over a cheque for £1548.50, which was raised from the event. We can not say thank you enough to Lavazza Professional UK for all their support this year! Sam followed up by saying... "The Pink Place provides important support to people who are going through the horrific journey of cancer diagnosis, and to be able to raise the amount we did; it fills Sam, Chris & myself with immense pride. Based on the amount raised, the company-wide Lavazza Professional team clearly feels the same way by showing great intent to donate to this amazing cause." A wet and windy, but fantastic day at Weybrook Park Golf Club for the charity golf day with The Pink Place - a whopping £6635 was raised! A huge well done to all involved and a massive congratulations to the Lavazza Professional UK Team for your 3rd place prize despite the elements - Paul Collard, Oliver Begbie, Craig McCarthy TechIOSH and Peter Forward.
And so it was, on a wet and windy September day, the people of Basingstoke and beyond came. To battle the elements and endure the harshest weather. All in support of The Pink Place. We are so very grateful and managed to raise £6,635 on the day. This goes a long way towards our costs, helping us to deliver ongoing well-being support to local people living with Cancer. #thepinkplace #charitygolf #basingstoke
