What a fantastic conference it has been celebrating 30 years of LEI; our organisation of law firms spanning dozens of jurisdictions across the continents dedicated to delivering top-quality legal services. Our stunning backdrop was the beautiful city of Antwerp expertly hosted by @CaluwaertsUytterhoeven who true to form, provided an unbelievable setting and schedule for such a fantastic conference. Thank you. The agenda featured breakout sessions led by our colleague Ian Robertson from the member firm in Australia, where we discussed the challenges and opportunities for law firms in a world where the new generation of lawyers has evolving goals and perspectives, where artificial intelligence is increasingly influencing corporate legal practice. We also had insightful presentations, including “Practice Management Issues for Managing Partners” by James Duggan from the member firm in Ireland, and a session on cybersecurity for law firms by Anne Masson from Belgium. Mr. Johan Van Overtveldt, Chairman of the European Budget Committee and former Finance Minister of Belgium gave an eye-opening presentation on the future of the European economy and the challenges it poses for our clients from Europe and doing business with Europe. It was an extraordinary weekend and one we just will not forget. #LEIAntwerp24
