We are celebrating our 5th Birthday today! On this day, in 2013, Jonathan Bloy and David Plane established LEDA Orthopaedics, packed a knapsack full of some of the best products in the market and set off on a journey that is still very much underway in 2018. We would like to thank all of our customers, colleagues and team members; our suppliers, professional partners, industry friends.. even our competitors. You all help to motivate us to be the best we can be, and we hope we do it with a smile on our face and a fun, can-do attitude. It's a very privileged job to do what we do, and we are grateful to have half a decade under our belts as an independent orthopaedic company. The team is growing and the future looks exciting. #orthopaedics #medicaldevices #innovation #fun

Fantastic photos and memories from STEPS Prosthetics conference thank you Colette Shaw It was great to meet so many new people and interact so closely with inspirational patients. Thank you for giving us and Integrum AB the opportunity to exhibit 🙏
STEPS Amputee Conference 2024 We would like to extend our thanks to all the delegates, speakers, and colleagues who played a pivotal role in the success of the inaugural #STEPSAmputeeConference2024. The day was a powerful reminder of the profound impact that prosthetic technology and amputee rehabilitation can have following a traumatic injury. We were privileged to hear from some of our clients, whose personal journeys were testament to the transformative effects of cutting-edge prosthetic solutions, intensive residential rehabilitation, and their own remarkable determination. We were particularly honoured to welcome Professor Rickard Brånemark, the world’s leading expert in osseointegration surgery, as our keynote speaker. Professor Brånemark offered invaluable insights into the latest advancements and emerging opportunities in extremity reconstruction, drawing on his vast experience and pioneering contributions in the field. STEPS Prosthetics Founders, Colette Shaw and Peter Durkin presented the incredible evolution and recent advances in prosthetics, while Sarah Drury and Sarah Watt offered their expertise on achieving the gold standard in amputee physiotherapy to ensure the best possible outcomes. A particular highlight of the conference was the interactive exhibition space, where delegates had the unique opportunity to explore and test some of the latest innovations in prosthetic technology, including the newly launched Ottobock Genium X4, Ottobock Kenevo, and the TASKA CX™ Multigrip Hand, all of which demonstrated how these technologies can significantly enhance the recovery process. Reflecting on the success of the STEPS Amputee Conference, Colette Shaw, Founder and Prosthetist at STEPS Prosthetics, said: “We are thrilled with the positive response to the inaugural STEPS Amputee Conference. We are grateful to the speakers for sharing their expertise and our incredible clients for sharing their inspiring stories of recovery. Special thanks to Professor Rickard Brånemark, for his fascinating insights into osseointegration and a glimpse into future developments in bidirectional control of prosthetic limbs. This conference highlights our dedication to amputee rehabilitation and the importance of collaboration with legal and healthcare professionals following complex trauma."

Attracted like a 🧲 .. perfect fit: LEDA Orthopaedics & Kuros Biosciences #MagnetOs 🇬🇧
Founding Director at LEDA Orthopaedics & Ortholove. Co-founder/investor at RAVL. Trustee/fundraiser for The Sick Children's Trust.
It's that 11+ time of year.. As we approach 11 (ELEVEN) years since Jonathan Bloy and I established LEDA Orthopaedics, it's only natural that we not only look ahead to the next chapters of the story, but also reminisce about what helped us get to where we are today. From day one, we endeavoured to partner with the most innovative medical technology manufacturers; indeed we needed to set ourselves apart from more established companies, so it was essential we got the best possible products. We also needed people to believe in us, and we were fortunate to have support from many industry friends, colleagues and customers. One of those early-day advocates was Paul Trundle, who, along with Matt Jelley, gave us a chance as an agent for Morgan Steer Orthopaedics Ltd, then the UK distributor of MicroAire Surgical Instruments The reason this is on my mind is because Paul, alongside Mark Tallon, is now heading the Kuros Biosciences charge internationally and I am delighted to announce our partnership with them as #orthopaedic #trauma and #extremities distributor for the UK 🇬🇧 market. Biologics has played a major part in the #LEDA story over the past 11 years and we were immediately attracted to this incredible organisation and exciting product, which is already getting fantastic feedback from surgeons around the country. #MagnetOs has super handling characteristics and a terrific track record in spinal surgery, with a professional focus on science and clinical education. LEDA + Kuros going into our birthday weekend like 🧲 🧲 🧲 🎂 🥳

Such an incredible experience in support of a fantastic charity Ride High 🐎 ⛳️ what's not to love about this?!
Great to represent LEDA Orthopaedics in their support of the brilliant Ride High charity golf day at the stunning Woburn Golf Club this week. Ride High is an amazing, UK based charity that play an important role in the local community across Buckinghamshire by providing a wonderful and safe place for young people who face challenges as a result of their surroundings and situation. Ride High aim to address these challenges by offering vulnerable young people a fun and educational programme that boosts their wellbeing and encourages a healthy lifestyle. Through physical activity in the great outdoors and the creation of positive relationships with people and animals, children develop the skills and self-confidence to thrive. Thank you so much for inviting us & hosting a great day, but more importantly thank you for the fantastic work that you do, it is inspiring & all of us at LEDA Orthopaedics are to have support ❤️ Jonathan Bloy David Plane Sam Bloy Olivia Sugdon
