#whoareyou :Meaningful session with the CAMHS group last nite at Fernie Fields in #northampton …we discussed “happiness” how we are all #different in our own #unique way and define happiness in our own #special way… what’s unique to you might not be unique to me however I could learn from you… if you #express yourself #positively… you could inspire someone just by being yourself! Who are you? Our sessions are #fun however #engage #participants on an introspective journey through creative arts activities and processes… #exploring who you are to define yourself and #develop or at least recognise #opportunities to turn weaknesses into strengths or build on interests to achieve goals and live a fulfilling lifestyle focused on your #wellbeing, #happiness and #success. One of the last sessions in Kings Heath Square before moving to Spencer Dallington Community Centre…we experimented with cardboard as a surface to #design or #craft on and the results were amazing, specially when you find materials that you can reuse and redefine into something else… #Customisation allows one to #redefine something to #create another use, meaning or purpose… ie from waste to something valuable to you or someone else… we are all unique and find interest in many different things which makes us special…one man’s waste is another man’s treasure… depends on your perspective… who are you?!? In continuation of the Everyone Can Achieve Programme in partnership with Sport4Fitness CIC, our Thursday afternoon sessions will be delivered at the Spencer Dallington Community Centre! Hello Wellingborough: great afternoon in the mall delivering a Lunch & Learn Creative Arts Session at the Swansgate Shopping Centre in Wellingborough. We had a fun time engaging participants in expressing themselves on our colouring canvas and also developing ideas on mini canvas to take away… we had great engagements and discussions with participants considering it was #mentalhealthawarenessday it felt good to talk about art practices that help to alleviate stresses… we are all creative in our own way and need to express that creativity to feel unique or to be ourselves! Value & Impact: recently had a meeting at Corby Technical School and was reacquainted with this #canvas …we collaborated with their year9s and year10 students a year or so ago…it hangs in the school reception right by the entrance and I don’t know how I missed it but only saw it on my way out!! Such a great surprise!😅🥰😍🤩 The engagement focus was using #graffiti or #streetart 🤔 to enhance their projects and to also learn more hands on techniques to improve their skills and also work on developing a diverse portfolio…grateful! Umbrella Fair 2024: Great to share the #creativity with the UMBRELLA FAIR ORGANISATION LTD. #community as part of this years #festival We were in the family tent engaging those that came to #celebrate and take part in the activities. Participants expressed themselves on our #colouringwall and also created their own custom canvas. Great day despite the rain, we embraced the weather and continued with the celebrations. Great to see many engage with our colouring activity… We have delivered creative sessions, art clubs and many activities for families etc at the Umbrella Fair over the years and have developed a great relationship with the community there… so it was only right for us to show our #support as they have supported us throughout the recent years! From the information gathered, the needs, issues and challenges or opportunities can be identified from this process. #Celebrate Your #uniqueness : in #celebration of the #paralympics2024 we were invited by Sport4Fitness CIC to engage those that came to watch and try out the #paralympic sporting activities such as#blindfootball in some #creativearts We engaged participants in some creativearts including designing and developing ideas into artworks that relate to who we are as individuals… we had customised canvas, frisbees and had a mini colouring wall/canvas to customise so had fun meeting those who came along to participate in the activities. We are all different, unique in our own special way…and need to express that uniqueness to feel part of a community, to improve our wellbeing, happiness and success. Who are you? Express yourself positively: we rounded up the Kingsthorpe Summer Activities with our #colouringwall for all to engage in and add their creative flair… Everyone’s contribution, no matter how small, creates a bigger picture… we all play a role in our communities and our participation and engagement creates the #community …who are you!?!
