One of the best features of our offices being based in an Innovation Centre is the access to top knowledge from people in the know as well as a community of entrepreneurs to chat to in corridors ad-hoc. I'm signed up to further training courses on business negotiation and sales during the next quarter and very much looking forward to these. This adds to a plethora of training provided to us over the years in leadership, finance, international trade, mental health and many more sessions held. A great setup to be part of! Lovely review in this mornings inbox by Hannah who has worked on a temporary contract for several months. We spent lots of time understanding the position of the hiring company and candidate when designing LiCa Scientific's temporary staffing systems. These conversations led to the result which is app based, instantaneous with statistics and 'push button' for all of the routine activities like geolocation log-in/out, booking time off and reporting sickness. Combined with rapid candidate availability, working this way then eliminates time and cost barriers, allowing people get on with the job they want to be doing. This is also incredibly scalable. Reviews like this are lovely to get, it's one thing to design a business model, it's entirely another to have people really like it! We are always available to discuss temporary staffing needs and engage with candidates seeking a temporary role!

Last week in Germany I met with the CEO of a UK based fine chemicals company, we discussed urgent needs for chemistry experienced salespeople in Manchester, UK. This is such an exciting company, with an opportunity in the kind of environment where that will attract success and reward. If you are interested in chemical sales this is worth looking into, I feel like whoever takes this role will look back on it as what 'made' their career. In addition to being one of the UK's best known brands in fine chemicals (you will have used their products if you did a chemistry degree) they are also expanding into one of the most vibrant industrial regions in Europe hence for two companies 10 miles from each other in Manchester we met in Düsseldorf! They need someone to ensure they are capitalising on their UK market opportunities, do this well and the sky is the limit. This is a very exciting business, they don't sit still, and new ideas and progression in the future is evidently a high priority. Working on a project with a Global life sciences client that has almost built a brand new GMP Manufacturing facility! They are now looking for the people who will do the work. There are 4 fields I'm supporting for them. QA - We require 4x and this includes Seniors as well as people wanting to move to QA from Analytical or a related field. Production 2x - This is GMP Production and again we are keen to look at a range of experiences in chemical synthesis or production operation. Analytical 2x - We are seeking a HPLC analyst experienced in GMP.
