It's true - we have made the difficult decision to cancel our gala. We are in crisis. It was meant to be a significant fundraiser - out biggest ever - but due to lack of support and rising costs, we simply cannot go ahead. In fact, with rising numbers needing us, coupled with increasing costs, we will not be able to go on much longer if we do not receive more funding soon. Please give generously if you can. Thank you.

About us
Lifeshare is a voluntary organisation established to help meet the needs of homeless and vulnerable people in Manchester and Salford. We offer practical assistance, support and information through continued assistance that enables people to secure suitable accommodation, support them in maintaining their tenancies, and help them to access initiatives that carry their lives forward. We believe that all people regardless of race, creed, sexuality, gender, age, level of ability or HIV status are entitled to respect and dignity and should be afforded equal opportunities. We are a non-religious organization and have no political affiliations.

Our awareness campaign by the wonderful ad agency, Meanwhile, has been shortlisted in The Drum Awards. 'A/W 23 Collection - Clothes are not a luxury for some' shone a light on the many homeless people living in dire need in Manchester while luxury global fashion house Chanel came to the city to showcase its designer outfits. Thanks to the team for their creative brilliance and here's to keeping everything crossed for a win! Meanwhile

Did you spot us on ITV Granada reports on Friday at 6pm? Recorded at our breakfast respite service and featuring so many of our wonderful volunteers and regular guests, it shone a light on how bittersweet our 40th anniversary really is. Our Chief Exec Judy chatted eloquently about the dire state of the charity sector in 2024. With increasing numbers of people needing help with food and shelter, and costs going up, it's vital Lifeshare raises more funds if it is to keep going beyond Christmas. We're always looking for new corporate sponsors to support us through volunteering or donations. Email us partnerships@lifeshare.org - let's have a chat! https://lnkd.in/emiyeF95

It's Big Give time!! Can you help us to double our funding? We're looking for people to pledge (£100 minimum) before 11pm on 8th September (Sunday night). We need a minimum of £1,000 to qualify - you made it happen for us last year, so we know we can do it again! Sustain our 7 days of Xmas by helping us to double your donation. No funds are taken till December so no need to have the money available until then. Thank you! https://lnkd.in/eC-pj9fw

It's bittersweet that we're turning 40 year this year - we're so proud of what we've achieved but it's sad to know how desperately needed our services still are. Hosting our first ever gala dinner is a celebration and of course, a very big fundraising opportunity for us. Come along to be entertained by the super talented and hilarious star of Britain's Got Talent Ruby Murry (below), be wined and dined, mix with fellow Manchester businesses and supporters, and of course to raise a toast to Lifeshare and dance the night away with us. Get your table, sponsor us or bag an individual ticket here: https://lnkd.in/eDPfHTua 💛 🎉 💛

Thanks to Alex and Amy who are running the Salford Sprint Triathlon in our honour. If you'd like to sponsor them and help raise money for Lifeshare, you just need to click the link below. Every little helps 🏃♀️ 💰 🏊♂️
Our Interior Designers Alexander and Amy are taking part in this year’s Salford Sprint Triathlon, and we’re thrilled to be supporting them for this worthy cause, raising money for Lifeshare. Amy quotes “Alex and I have set ourselves a new challenge, and we’ve entered the Salford Sprint Triathlon which is taking place on Sunday 28th July and have been training hard to get ready for it! We’re hoping that by doing this we can raise some funds for our chosen charity - Lifeshare. They are an organisation that does some amazing work to support homeless and vulnerable people in and around the Manchester/Salford area. We would welcome any donations big or small, and the link to our JustGiving page can be found below. We are determined to hit our target and raise as much as possible for an amazing cause’ https://lnkd.in/ecH5zQG2

THANK YOU to these amazing souls for climbing Snowdon for Lifeshare. You're all super stars! Well done.
We did it! We climbed Snowdon to raise much needed funds for our #Manchester office charity, Lifeshare. The generous donations and encouragement absolutely kept us motivated (to get up at 5am) and complete Snowdon in 6 hours. Special shout out to my amazing team for making such a cold and wet day so much fun! Claire Mellor Melissa Clarke

Recently, we proudly hosted the inaugural Activities and Wellbeing Group meeting as part of the Manchester Homelessness Partnership. Our Executive Officer Judith Vickers co-chaired the session with Margaret Madden (GMT) at our new office on Sackville Street. Through these meetings, we hope to produce a coordinated and collaborative seven day a week program so that the clients we serve can access the services they need, when they need them. Sadly, crises and issues don't have a favourite day of the week and are prone to strike at any time. We're delighted to partner and unite with the following charities, organisations and clubs in compassion: Manchester Homelessness @McrHomelessness, The Running Club @Running_Charity, Be Well: @BeWellMcr, Centrepoint: @centrepointuk, Greater Together MCR: @GT_Manchester #homelessness #endhomelessness #Manchestercharities #TakeActionwork together to bring hope to all those in need.
