We’ve been busy! Not just prepping for our peak season, but making sure we’re putting all our good energy out into the world, recently coming together on 3 volunteering initiatives. ☕ We participated in the annual Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning, raising TRIPLE the funds compared to our event last year for the charity. The turnout was incredible, thank you to Chloe Casey for organising and all who baked and donated - I think I speak for everyone when I say we were sufficiently fed the entire day (and then some!). A group of us also spent a day at Liverpool Street, helping out our friends at RNLI, raising over £1000 for the life-saving organisation. Thank you Teresa Riley for getting us involved in such an important cause. We all agreed, yellow suits us quite well. 💛 And finally a throwback to the final days of summer when we got together with our friends at Young Hackney to help host their 90's summer party. Working with the community organisation, we helped make sure the children of hackney had one last hurray before school with food, games, and face painting. Kudos to Rachael Stow and Teresa for helping organise such a fun day! 🎉 #volunteering #bcorp

Two of our (unintentionally-matching) own journeyed to Oxford for #BCorpFestivalUK, and now that our marketing exec has finally digested the past 2 days, we can safely say inspiring is an understatement!   The passion for change and impact was apparent in every attendee. It wasn’t a room filled with businesses, but rather humans exchanging ideas on how to make the world better.   There’s still so much to unpack but a few takeaways have stood out above the rest:   💡 The system businesses exist in is not broken, in fact, it’s working exactly as it was made to. As B Corps, it’s our job to reimagine it. 💡 Trust and Desire go hand in hand. A brand doing good in the world is great, but people need to want to buy in to it. Consider the challenge of how to make sustainability desirable. 💡 Collaboration, not competition. Like people, businesses have different skills and offerings. What can we achieve when we pool our efforts rather than fighting for the top spot in the market?   Thank you to the workers at B Lab, the volunteers and the speakers for putting on such a great event. We’re already brainstorming ways to incorporate what we’ve learned back into our business and can’t wait to move forward in this journey!
