Technology, Information and Internet

Technology that powers convenient, efficient and sustainable, shared transport.

About us

Liftango powers some of the most successful on-demand shared transport systems across the world. By guiding global organisations on how to plan, launch and scale their shared mobility programs, we provide a pathway to a sustainable and climate-positive future. Our vision is to unlock all the good that comes from shared transport and our mission is to make sustainable and meaningful connections through a unified platform—to optimise transport systems and combat climate change. We are driven to reduce CO2 emissions for our clients, our own business and our cities. On average we help clients eliminate CO2 emissions equivalent to planting 31 acres of forest every year, which translates to about 31 football pitches or 83,370 trees. If there’s room in a vehicle—it should be shared. We’re here to help make that happen with cost-effectiveness and ease. We are helping:
• Cities evolve into Smarter Cities
• Transit Agencies to create better public bus systems
 • Private bus operators to digitise their services to become more efficient
• Corporates to create sustainable and scalable mobility solutions for their staff • Property developers to design sites around future mobility solutions instead of using space for parking Our team can be found around the world working closely with our partners to co-create localised solutions suited to the citizens of the region, city or regional town. We value dedication, being bold, adapting and being courageous. Liftango co-workers (or Liftonauts as we endearingly refer to ourselves) are a mix of professionals with deep experience in advanced algorithms, data science, product management, app development, project delivery and professional stakeholder management. We are a high performing team focusing on operations, growth, member services, expansion, business development, and partner success.

  • Cutting congestion sounds simple, right? Just get more people out of cars and onto buses — less space taken up, less traffic. The math checks out. 📈🚍 But people don’t make decisions based on math. We’re emotional. We pick comfort and convenience, and because around 40% of what we do every day is driven by habit, it’s not as easy as just building better options and expecting people to use them. That’s why we need to meet people where they are. By working with businesses, transport operators, and the public sector, we help create solutions that actually make a difference. Every place has its own challenges, and every community has different needs. The key is building services that people want to use — ones that fit into their lives. Changing the way people travel isn’t just about infrastructure. It’s about understanding what matters to people and making better choices the easiest ones to make. That’s when real change happens 🎯

  • Could On-Demand Public Transport be the future of mobility in the Middle East? 🚍 Imagine public transport that works on your schedule, not the other way around. Instead of fixed routes and timetables, on-demand transport is a flexible system where passengers book rides through a mobile app or call center. Routes and schedules adapt in real-time based on who needs a ride, making it a smarter, more efficient way to connect people to where they need to go. For the Middle East, this means: ✅ Reducing congestion by optimizing vehicle usage ✅ Reaching areas underserved by traditional public transport ✅ Advancing sustainability by cutting emissions and wasted trips Explore how this innovative solution is already transforming cities—and how it could create meaningful change for communities in the region: https://lnkd.in/e9Y5eWZq 🔗 Learn how public transport is evolving globally 🌎

  • How Can We Make Shared Transport the First Choice? 🚌🌱 The biggest challenge to getting people to embrace shared transport is simple: comfort and convenience. When the private car feels more flexible and accessible, why would someone choose anything else? This is where modal shift comes in — the crucial transition from private vehicle use to more sustainable, shared, and public transport options. But how do we drive this shift at scale? If you’re a corporate or public sector leader aiming to reduce car dependency and encourage shared mobility, the key lies in changing the perception of convenience. Here’s how: 🔑 Enhance Flexibility: Shared transport must compete with the flexibility of personal cars. Flexible schedules, on-demand services, and better last-mile solutions can help bridge the gap. 🔑 Improve Accessibility: Make shared transport easier to use and more widely available. Seamless booking systems, real-time information, and well-connected routes are essential. 🔑 Incentivize the Shift: Encourage uptake with tangible benefits — think subsidized travel, reward programs, or priority parking for shared transport users. 🔑 Challenge the Status Quo: Education and awareness campaigns can help people rethink their travel choices. Highlight the environmental, social, and financial benefits of shared mobility. As organizations, we have the power to shape travel behaviors. By investing in better shared transport options and making them a genuinely attractive alternative, we can drive modal shift and create more sustainable communities. 🌐 Want to explore how to make this happen? Check out Liftango’s insights on modal shift:https://lnkd.in/eUr2nb8M Challenging the comfort bias could be the key change to engage shared mobility 💡

Using digital twin inspired simulations to enhance on-demand transit services and increase bookings 📈 We're excited to share the new co-authored research paper exploring the use of digital twin (DT) inspired simulations to optimize on-demand transit (ODT) / DRT services from our very own Dr. Ben Kaufman and James Willcox, in collaboration with Griffith University and Abraham Leung. The study focused on two of our clients, AT Local in Auckland, New Zealand, and TeuBus in Porto Alegre, Brazil, demonstrating how DT simulations can lead to significant improvements in service efficiency and ridership. ✨Key findings from the research include: ✨ 🚀 Increased booking success rates: AT Local saw an average increase of 30 bookings per day, while TeuBus experienced a remarkable increase of 172 bookings per day. 🎯 Improved operational efficiency: Both networks saw improvements in maximum daily ridership, shared trip rate, and passengers per vehicle hour. Check out their full research paper here: https://lnkd.in/ecGugyyd This research highlights the power of DT technology in shaping the future of ODT. We're proud to be at the forefront of this innovation, helping our clients deliver exceptional transit services that meet the evolving needs of their communities. #DigitalTwin #OnDemandTransit #DemandResponsiveTransport #Innovation #PublicTransport #Research #Liftango
