As community transport week comes to a close we want to share our hopes for the future of community transport in Lincolnshire. If you've learned anything about community transport this week, then we've accomplished our goal of raising awareness! Maybe one day you'll take a journey with a volunteer driver that you otherwise couldn't make, or perhaps a group you're involved in can now access an affordable minibus to enhance your activities. Or, you might simply pass on the knowledge to someone who could benefit from a community car scheme. Thank you for following along with us this week! If you’d like to learn more about community transport schemes in your area, feel free to get in touch with us. #CTWeek24 #CommunitySolutions #UKJourney #communitytransport

The Community Voluntary Car Service is a registered charity which has been operational in Sutton-on-Sea for over 20 years and is essential in supporting the local community to getting to medical appointments, especially with all hospitals being a considerable distance away with minimal public transport links. Many of their regular clients are elderly with no means of transport and rely heavily on the service which is offered 7 days a week by a conscientious and compassionate team of volunteer drivers. The service costs 60p per mile and has a minimum charge of £5.40 To book please call 01507 422502 between 9am and 1pm Monday to Friday. #CTWeek24 #CommunitySolutions #UKJourney #communitytransport

Welcome to Community Transport Week! Community Transport week takes place from Monday 14th October to Friday 18th October 2024 and is funded to work in the local authority districts in Lincolnshire of South Holland, Boston Borough and East Lindsey alongside existing schemes and any potential new ones, to develop community transport availability and accessibility especially in some of the most rural areas. We are launching this week by explaining what community transport is and how to access it in your area. See the posters for contact details for community transport that currently covers Lincolnshire. You may be asked to leave a message in the first instance; please do and someone will get back to you. If you require any assistance locating your nearest community transport in any other parts of Lincolnshire then please send us an email (rachelgmajner@lincolnshirecvs.org.uk) and we will endeavour to sign post you. #CTWeek #CommunitySolutions #UKJourney #CommunityTransport
