Transforming lives through learning
About us
We transform lives through learning in sub-Saharan Africa. Link is Scotland’s leading international education charity, working to improve the futures of people living in some of the most marginalised communities in the world. Our work brings hope to vulnerable communities, helping them become more resilient and escape the cycle of poverty. We focus on raising standards of teaching and learning in schools, as well as building life skills and promoting inclusion for the most marginalised. We’re working towards a world a world where all children have access to good quality education, giving them a strong foundation to build a brighter future.

On International Women’s Day we are celebrating the girls and women who have conquered barriers and found joy in learning! We are inspired by Tesfanesh, a medical student who once dropped out of school in Ethiopia. We recognise Annet’s strength as she finishes high school with two young children in Uganda. We are championing Madalitso as she uses her education to make choices about her future in Malawi. Read their stories and join our mission to give every girl her right to education and a better life: https://lnkd.in/ebSrmpnD

In the heart of East Africa, a revolution is unfolding. It’s not one of conflict or conquest, but of enlightenment and empowerment. The region, rich in diversity and potential, is reimagining its educational landscape to forge a future that is resilient, inclusive, and fit for the challenges of the 21st century. Our colleague, Denis Olak from Link Community Development Uganda, gladly joins the EAC in this inaugural EAC education conference as we share how Social Emotional Learning cultivates a generation of problem-solvers, innovators, and leaders. #SEL #education
