WE ARE HIRING! Factory Operative(s) Manufacturing and Installation of Curtain Wall, Windows, Doors and Associated Items We are looking for enthusiastic individual(s) to join our team. The ideal candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include:- Unloading/Loading of delivery vehicles Inspecting quality of materials prior to processing Reading/Understanding all written & verbal instructions Cutting of aluminium bars using pneumatic double mitre saws Machining of aluminium bars using pneumatic CNC machines Crimping of aluminium bars to form windows/doors Prepping aluminium bars to form curtain wall Complete fabrication of windows/doors including fitting of hinges & gearing, handles & any other components necessary Manufacturing aluminium bracketry from pre-formed angles including cutting and drilling of any holes/slots required Packing of products ready for despatch Carry out daily/weekly inspections of machinery An understanding of the Commercial Aluminium Glazing Industry is desirable but not essential. Experience and knowledge of working with Kawneer, Metal Technology & Senior Systems would be beneficial. WE ARE HIRING OPERATIONS MANAGER We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead our Procurement team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to plan and manage multiple projects including all aspects of the project which will include scheduling materials, ability to read AutoCAD drawings, programming of projects to monitor required on site delivery and start dates, negotiating with the and monitoring the supply chain performance amongst other procurement/production duties. Liaising with the design, estimating and production departments you will be a team player but also be able to work under your own initiative. Knowledge of the following are essential: LogiKal Windows 11 - Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook Commercial project delivery processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and meet deadlines An understanding of the Commercial Aluminium Glazing Industry would be beneficial and familiarity of our main System suppliers; Kawneer UK Ltd, Metal Technology, Senior Architectural and Aluprof would be a preferred requirement. Todays #FeatureFriday spotlights our construction of Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd new headquarters in Broxburn. The office, known as Peter Russell House, provides 21,000sq.ft. of accommodation across two wings linked by a glass atrium and includes office space and a bar area. Externally, the new HQ features two glazed lantern roof lights, modelled on the Doig Ventilator or 'pagoda roof’, to reflect the characteristic of whisky distilleries. Celebrations Mark the Official Opening of #MayboleCommunityCampus. #Maybole Community Campus, a landmark development, constructed by hub South West Scotland and partners South Ayrshire Counciland Morgan Sindall Construction has been officially opened by @Councillor William Grant, South Ayrshire Council's Portfolio Holder for Education, and Jenny Gilruth MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills. To mark the occasion, an inspiring ceremony showcased the talents of pupils from Carrick Academy, Culzean Primary, and St Cuthbert’s Primary. Performances by choirs, bands, and dancers celebrated the spirit of community and education. The campus boasts unique features, including a rooftop playground, a woodland play area, and a multipurpose amphitheatre. Guests were invited to share their reflections on the new facility, which will be preserved in a time capsule to be buried on site. More than just a centre for learning, the campus is home to an early years centre, a police office, and the Maybole Leisure Club. The local community is already making use of the 25-metre swimming pool, all-weather sports pitches, fitness suite, and flexible meeting spaces. Sustainability has been at the forefront of the project. With triple glazing, solar panels, air source heat pumps, and a wind turbine, the campus achieves an 'A' rating for energy performance, setting a benchmark for environmentally-friendly construction in #SouthAyrshire. NEW HEADQUARTERS FOR IAN MACLEOD DISTILLERS Metal Technology Ltd's curtain walling, windows and doors were installed via approved fabricator Linn-Tech Scotland Ltd in this striking new headquarters facility in Broxburn for Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd. Known as Peter Russell House, the fantastic new office development was designed and delivered by Clark Contracts and provides 21,000 sq ft of space for the distillery company.
