  • Mayor Dickson welcomed the Belfast Region City Deal (BRCD) Council Panel to Lagan Valley Island this week. At the meeting it reviewed the £1 billion programme of investment across six council areas. Our key tourism project Destination Royal Hillsborough is in partnership with Historic Royal Palaces. It represents a total investment of £26m to enhance this regionally significant tourist attraction and deliver real economic benefits. We are excited to see it develop in partnership with all stakeholders. The wider BRCD programme of investment builds on regional strengths and opportunities. It aims to create up to 20,000 new and better jobs over its lifespan, making the region a global investment destination of choice over the next decade. Its 2023/24 Annual report outlines the significant progress made now that the Deal is fully into delivery and can be viewed online at https://lnkd.in/eKJDXjGA Read more online at https://lnkd.in/evtjtf2F #BRCityDeal
