As part of our commitment to responsible waste management, since 2022 we have partnered with The Turing Trust to turn our unneeded electronics into educational software for the next generation across some of sub-Saharan Africa’s most underserved groups. It was great to see our latest shipment recently arrive in Malawi, a country where 83% of all computer labs in secondary schools have been supplied by the Turing Trust. These devices will now provide students with interactive learning resources as well as invaluable connections to the wider world. Working with the Turing Trust, schools in Malawi have seen improved exam results, better female participation in IT and more students going into higher education. Last week, some of the LMAX team set off on an adventure through Dartmoor National Park in Devon 🚶♂️🏃♀️ Starting from Okehampton, we navigated our way to The Tors Inn in Belstone with our three groups walking or running distances ranging from 18km to 30km. Along the way, we reached High Willhays, standing at 2,039 ft above sea level – the highest point on Dartmoor and the highest point in the UK south of the Brecon Beacons.
