Today we’re ecstatic to announce the close of our $2.5M pre-seed round at Lodestar Space. Co-led by deep-tech VC funds: Inflection.xyz and Lunar Ventures, with participation from Charlie Songhurst, Zehan Wang, Mehdi Ghissassi, and non-dilutive funding from the UK Space Agency 🇬🇧. Thank you to Alexander, Jonatan, Mick, and Alberto for bringing the rocket fuel to our journey, and thank you to Aria @ TechCrunch for covering our announcement. We’ll use this new funding to build the technology to safeguard the space infrastructure that underpins our democracies and ways of life. 🚀 Space Internships Alert: Join Lodestar’s Mission 🚀 Lodestar, a London-based space startup, is collaborating with the ESA Business Incubation Centre United Kingdom and UK Space Agency to offer two unique internships for students passionate about transforming space operations. As part of our team, you’ll work on advanced projects that aim to automate space tasks, making space missions more efficient and sustainable. Open Positions: 1️⃣ Mission Planning Tools Developer for ISAM Vehicles: Contribute to the development of sophisticated mission planning tools that will enable efficient in-space servicing, assembly and manufacturing. 2️⃣ Soft Capture Robotics Developer: Work on innovative robotics that will play a crucial role in the capture and release of objects in space.
